Staind's guitarist worked with Ibanez to develop this signature baritone model axe with string-thru and neck-thru construction for the ultimate in sustain and tuning stability. The beautifully contoured mahogany body weds up to a 5-piece, 28" scale mahogany/purplewood neck with 22 jumbo frets. Custom Super pickups deliver ultrahot signals while the custom-made Gibraltar bridge keeps things in tune.

This guitar is HEAVY!

And when I say HEAVY I dont only mean the Bone Jarring tone that is produced by the High Output Custom 58 Humbucker's. Im talking about the weight! The massive feel of the MMM1 lets you know that you are dealing with a serious piece of equipment. The beefy 3 piece Mahogany Body and Neck produce Fatter, Heavier tones, while the Custom Gibralter Bridge and String thru Body design offers amazing sustain. While the Custom 58 High Output Humbucker's produce more gain and distortion then any other stock or after-market pick-up I've had installed by Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio. And not only does the MMM1 produce more distortion then any other guitar I've played, the Custom 58's also produce some of the warmest and deepest clean tones I've ever heard, which has opened up a new door in my song writing and improv sessions. Absolutly the BEST guitar I've owned!

Not What I expected

Its true this guitar has amazing sustain, but the pickups are muddy, couldnt even use the neck pickup. The top of the guitar is very uncomfortable on the underside of your right arm after playing it for a while (the sharp edge contour of guitar). one major drawback is the tuning if you try to tune this guitar to any conventional tuning with the factory strings, the tension of the heavier gauge strings pulls the neck and the action changes too much, becoming too high, to me this means different tuning = different strings. This guitar needs better pickups installed, but ended up not being the versatile guitar I was hoping for that would replace my 7 string. If you can afford to have as many guitars as you want then buy it, it will be a purpose guitar, but for me it has not been same guitar as many other reviews I have read.
