After years of wanting to learn to play the guitar I finally decided to give it a try. After doing a little research I decided to go with the Ibanez Jam Pack Solid-Top Acoustic and I am very glad I did. So far I have been very happy with this guitar and I have noticed a big improvement in my ability to play in just a short time. I had some family members who already know how to play try it out and they said it sounded really good. Just a bit of info: if you want the instructional DVD you have to register the guitar on the Ibanez website and they will send it to you in the mail. It took some time for mine to come (approx. 3-4 weeks) but it eventually came along with the additional set of strings.
I received this package as a gift from my dad since I had suggested I wanted to start playing. Since he has been a long-time player along with my grandfather who is an avid bluegrass player, he knew the key features of a great acoustic. I have been VERY pleased with the sound this guitar produces along with how great the action works for me. I have been playing a little more than a week and already see a huge improvement! I would definitely suggest this package to anyone wanting to get started and you can't go wrong with the included accessories(I mean, how vital is a decent tuner for a beginner?). A definite buy for a solid top acoustic!
The guitar is beautiful and plays great! I love the sound it makes and I love the way it looks. It's glossed perfectly. I really like the way they put it together. It is a quality instrument. The guitar case fits perfectly and the pockets on it are the perfect size for what I need to store in them. I'm glad for everything that it came with. It had just the right stuff that I needed to use to get started. The only downer is that it didn't come with a beginner's book. But that's okay. I love it!
