  • Don't let the price keep you away, this is a wonderfull piece of equipment!

Where do I begin? I've wanted a JEM since the first Universe came out nearly 20 years ago, and the price tag is what stopped me all this time. Well, almost 2 decades later I decided it was time and made the plunge and let me tell you... I truly wish that I hadn't waited so long! It was a horrible toss up between the 7Vwh and the 77Vbk, from all of my research the evolution p/u's used in the 7V are extremely bright and almost a little harsh for anything beyond solo, jazz, and experimental work. As to where the Breed p/u's used in the 77V are a little toned down. But they still scream! The harmonics are amazing, the clean is sweet and beautiful, the overdrive is insane. This guitar has the perfect combination of well rounded goodness topped off with tonal versatility and a lightning fast yet butter smooth neck. Dive bombs are no problem and staying in tune is no concern. I am beyond happy with this instrument (and I've owned many, from Gison, Fender, Ibanez, Martin...) my only fear now is that none of my other guitars will see the light of day again as I like this one that much!

it's the best guitar that I've played, and I don't think the price is to high, since the quality of the guitar exceeds the expectations of what you can actually create with this guitar, it's a excellent quality guitar, crafted in Japan, and when you actually play it, you feel the quality this guitar has, you can actually play fast or slow whatever you prefer, and this guitar gives you style, that I don't think you can get with any other guitar.
