A classic revisited.
The Ibanez ICB300EX Iceman Extreme brings back a metal and hard rock classic and one of the most distinctive 4-string basses ever. Its black-on-black look, active electronics, and Ibanez pickups make the Iceman a chilling bass.
My Iceman bass has very good low action. It has a very good paint job too. The inlays were done very good but the binding seems a little ruff to feel, like its out of place. There is only 2 things I hate about this bass. First being is the lacquer coat on the neck wears off at a rapid rate. Secondly the pickups are lousy. They do not get a deep growl at all. Its like they are crossed over at a certain frequency. Other then that it plays excellently, I personally wish it had better tone.

I've had the Ibanez ICB300EX Iceman Extreme 4-String Electric Bass for about 10 x years. I have used it for both practice and in a band. As far as sound is concerned I ran it through a Crate 150w combo which turned out well. The only thing I do not like about it is the "ergonomics" involved. Due to the off-center and light body, the neck portion causes the guitar to tilt in the direction of the neck and causes much strain on my left shoulder from trying to hold it up the whole time. I initially enjoyed it due to Shawn Yseault's use of it (White Zombie) but it's just not full of a lot of utility when you're standing around playing for a while!
