The agathis body shares the same curved top contours as series stablemates with a pair of high-output Powersound pickups at the neck and mid positions and a Powersound humbucker at the bridge. Complete with a standard tremolo and medium frets.
This was my first electric guitar when I bought it brand new in 02 or 03. I knew absolutely zero about guitar back then. It was cheap and good looking and my friends all played Ibanez guitars so I had to be a poser and get one. I have not modified it in any way other than new strings periodically. It's a very versatile instrument from blues to jazz to metal and it can take some serious abuse! Excellent starter.

Purchased a GSA60 guitar with "Spider Line 6" 15W amp. I could not believe the sound coming out of this thing. Volume and clarity is clean. Just make sure the pictures hanging on the walls are secured and neighbors are not home (or at least sleeping). Using a Korg Chromatic Tuner CA-30 only takes a couple minutes to turn your guitar. Less than couple minutes once it had been tuned. Started out with a fret noise. Thought it was the guitar but it was the strings on the guitar. It went away before I was able to get the time to take it back. NO REGRETS ON THIS PURCHACE.

I love the feel and sound I can get from this guitar, better than any Squier, that's for sure. I had a Squier, and i can say THEY TURN ME OFF, Ibanez is much better quality, even at this low price. I sat for nearly an hour between an Epiphone Les Paul, this Ibanez, and a Schecter, and the Ibanez won, because I liked the GOOD CRUNCH and METAL SOUND, and THE DA** GOOD SUSTAIN IT HAD. No dought, this is a winner

I bought this little gem over a month ago and after playing Fenders for the last 5 years,I,ve been converted to Ibanez. This guitar just simply kicks ass.The sustain is unbelievable as is the tone. This axe is built for metal,no doubt about it.

I tried so many different guitars before choosing the Ibanez GSA60. I looked at many guitars that were priced much higher including the Fender Strat and Fat Strat, but loved the way this felt and sounded. I really like the pickup configuration. Great clean sounds on the single coils as well as dirty on the humbucker. I paired this with a Line 6 Spider amp and am absolutely thrilled! As an amateur/hobbyist, this combination offers a vast array of sounds and plenty of power at such a reasonable price. For a little more money than the Squire and Epiphone packs, the difference in quality is enormous.
