A slimmer neck and body than the traditional classical guitar.

The Ibanez GA5TCE Classical Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a thinline classical cutaway body with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck features a 14th fret neck/body joint and a rosewood fretboard. Gold hardware and classical tuning machines. The narrower neck plays easily, especially for those used to steel string guitar necks. An Ibanez piezo pickup and 3-band EQ let you amplify the sound of the nylon strings with full fidelity.

built to last

i purchased this guitar some time ago when i was beginning to learn to play guitar. i was looking to get a new guitar but since i was still a beginner, i did not want to spend to much on a guitar. the price caught my eye and since my friend who has been playing the guitar since the cradle was with me, i asked him to test it it out. He was impressed with the quality of the guitar both plugged and unplugged. so i got the guitar and now a year or two later i am still impressed with how the guitar performs. we even use for live performances and recording and it does not disappoint. this is a great guitar to get and it will keep up with you.

Great First Nylon String Guitar

I purchased this for my first guitar class & it is PERFECT. I have medium sized hands and the "larger"/"CHEAPER" entry level guitars just don't cut it for me. I can really get my hands ALL OVER this kneck. It's going to be a great semester. If you are in a similar situation; buy this guitar! It's thin body is also a GREAT asset. It's about the thickness of strat body. Con: It has no gig bag or hardshell case that fits. Helpful hint: Buy an electric guitar gig bag for this thinline. It will fit perfectly. I did.

Great Begginer guitar

My daughter needed a guitar for her finger picking syle lessons. This guitar definitely filled that void. Action was perfect, and thin body made it easy for a petite 10 year old to handle. Very pleased with the pickup and controls.
