Exotic wood with a unique appearance and tone that stands out.

There are a lot of guitars to choose from. The Ibanez EW20ZWE EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Zebrawood Acoustic-Electric Guitar is different. Singular in looks and sound because it's made from exotic African zebrawood. The grain patterns are striking, and while it's a difficult wood to work with, it is durable and ages very well. It's amazing to find an exotic wood guitar in this price range.

For faithful reproduction of acoustic tone, a B-Band UST pickup is paired with the Ibanez SRTn preamp with notch filter and an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You'll also be ready for whatever connections are available; the EW20ZWENT is equipped with balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Paired with the fine wood are high-end cosmetic appointments also found on guitars costing much more: an abalone rosette, Ibanez chrome die-cast tuners and a natural high-gloss finish. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

Found a Gem in the Haystack

When I started looking for my first acoustic-electric guitar (I mainly play electric), I was mainly interested in sound quality. Something that would inspire me (I'm the lead guitarist/singer). I read a lot about how to choose an acoustic guitar, about wood and this and that. But, when it came down to it, I just wanted a instrument that made feel like getting up and jamming. I spent a total of 3+ hours between two music stores and decided on this guitar. Awesome sound!!!! I kept doing A B testing with other guitars that were hanging on the wall. I even tried more expensive acoustic electrics and 12 strings. But kept coming back to this one. Some other guitars sound just a tid bit better unplugged. But when you plug this baby in, WHOA! That's all I gotta say. Not to metion, and though least of my concerns, the design of the guitar made some turn heads and say to me "dang! that's tight!" Valuewise, let me preface by saying that I'm a cheapskate bargain hunter. The only reason I rated this 4.5 in value is because this purchase didn't feel like a steal/bargain although it is an excellent value considering there are $1,200 guitars out there. But, if I had gotten it, even used, for $140 or so, that would have made me smile :). Looking through the sound hole, it said it's "made in China". I've heard how many people sneer at that. But, here I'm jamming on another quality/value product from China. Each to his own.

Great Guitar

This guitar is great. I have tons of fun with it and am always getting comments from friends about the guitar. The wood is simply beautiful. It's great to have such a unique guitar. I definitely recommend this guitar.
