Figured ash for exotic looks and powerful sound.

There are a lot of guitars to choose from. The Ibanez EW20ASE Exotic Wood Ash Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar is different. Singular in looks and sound because it's made from exotic figured ash. The grain patterns are striking. It's amazing to find an exotic wood guitar in this price range.

For faithful reproduction of acoustic tone, a B-Band UST pickup is paired with the Ibanez SRTn preamp with notch filter and an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You'll also be ready for whatever connections are available; the EW20ASE is equipped with balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Paired with the fine wood are high-end cosmetic appointments also found on guitars costing much more: an abalone rosette, Ibanez chrome die-cast tuners and a natural high-gloss finish. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

Ibanez EW20ASE Exotic Wood Figured Ash Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar Features:

Amazing, but...

This guitar, hands down, is amazing. It feels nice, and is equally good for strumming and unplugged shredding, with its fast neck. The only cons I can think of are its not as full sounding as the same model without the cutaway, and the neck need a little tweaking for the action to be right. The neck, however, was probably a fluke, and therefore not a big concern. But for the price, you can beat the looks and playability, and the built in tuner is perfect for students.

Just Beautiful

This guitar is the best guitar I have ever played. The wood and tone is exceptional. The sound is breathtaking. I don't know how to explain this but the tone is like a beautiful energy. You won't be disappointed by purchasing this guitar today. When you get it you will feel like you made a great decision and start creating songs instantly. Please don't think twice before getting this guitar. Be kind to it and get some really good polish and fret cleaner to keep it in awesome condition, and it will perform everything you want it to. By the way, It sounds freakin awesome plugged in to an amp.

Super Value

Being an avid guitarist and an owner of a Taylor 414ce, I was in search for a guitar that I wouldn't be so afraid to "hurt". My Taylor (Isabelle) is my baby, and I paid a pretty penny for her, but my brand new Ibanez, which I have named Turtle, is right behind. The tone and playability of this guitar are amazing. Plugged in it sounds right up there with a thousand dollar guitar. If you're looking for a mid priced guitar with a high priced sound, this is the one. It is quite exsquisite cosmetically too. For the price, it's one of the best.

why is this in question

I do not understand (unless you get a lemon) how anyone could have issues with this guitar. Ok some might not like the looks (too extreme)but as far as quality goes DUH!....I use it for recording with a mic and without....AMAZING guitar, fun to play fun to record with.....isn't a guitar supposed to make you want to play?

THX Ibanez for this work of art

Great Guitar!!! I've had this for about 1.5 months and completely love it. I have this same guitar except mine is a darker "zebra-wood" pattern, but other than that it's the same. The electronics on this baby are amazing, especially the tuner. This is one beautiful peice of art that anyone will appreciate.
