I bought this gig bag when I bought my Ibanez BTB570FM. I wanted to get something that would protect my new bass well and at the same time would not be too expensive or bulky. I went to the local guitar shop and asked them what they had. They pulled out a generic gig bag that was flimsy and basically lame (but really cheap) and this case. I was very happy with the sturdy exterior and the large amounts of padding that are on the case. Also, I really like the way it has a detachable backpack. I have used the backpack in a couple of ways. First I used it for a weekend gig that I did which was away from home. I didn't need to bring any of my own cables etc. so my clothes fit beautifully along with my music and tuner (and other such small things). Second, I generally use the backpack to hold cables, guitar parts, tools, and other things like that. Either way it works very well. I really like having enough space to carry just about anything along and not have another bag with me. Finally, it is very nice to have backpack straps on the gig bag. This makes for really easy and comfortable carrying. I highly recommend this gig bag to anyone who is not looking for a full hard case and likes the slightly lighter more convenient size of a gig bag. Very solid and nice.
