Wow

I bought this guitar two years ago, and it's still my main axe in practice and on stage. I'm not a small guy. At 6'2 I don't like normal sized guitars because they're just too small, but this one has the perfect sized neck, to fit larger hands, and body to make it look normal. The finish is great, no flaws whatsoever, and the tuners are heaven. No tuners are smoother or tighter than the AS73's. The two humbuckers sound great with a light distortion on my Line 6 Spyder II, as well as any Fender I've played on. Don't underestimate it's classic look though, this baby can crank out some major metal sounds without falling apart. It's durable as well. My strap fell off the back stud, and it landed on a concrete walkway, but all it haad was a little nick. It's damn near impossible to scratch. Definately the best guitar to buy for the price.

Nice Hollowbody!

This Ibanez ES335 copy is a sweet guitar? My partner plays one in our band. Semi-hollowbody, maple top and sides, mahogany neck, bound body and neck. I was really impressed with the finish on this guitar. Nice, translucent finish, no streaks or flaws, seemed very well-made. Sounds great too! He plays it through a small solid-state amp and it has nice tone. Was set-up pretty well right out of the box. Tuners seem decent, and bridge is good. Came with a nice hardshelled case. A great value!

Gibson step aside!

Lets face it, I'm never gonna be a Wes or a Lee but this is as close to a Gibson ES335 as you can get with out blowing a big wad. I was impressed with the action straight out the box and the strings that come standard where as equally porfessional quality. Ibanez has put a lot into this guitar except price. I played this guitar then and ES335 and I was blow away with the performance of the Ibanez. They could have charge twice the price and still came out equal if not better than the Gibson. If you can shell out the bucks for the Gibson ES335, take a listen to the AS73 and put those extra bucks you save into a bigger better amplifier or a good quality effects pedal and wlak away knowing you just bought a guitar as good as if not better than the ES335.

A Rock Solid Value

I bought this guitar 3 years ago and have used it extensively in jazz settings. Not once have I had a problem with it, and have never taken it into the shop for repairs. This guitar is made with very substantial materials! It's good going to a gig that the guitar will not fail me.
