Big-body tone and luxury appointments for a phenomenally small price.

The Ibanez Artcore AF95 Electric Guitar is a true full-hollow body guitar (no soundblock) with an ACH1 humbucker at the neck and an ACH2 at the bridge. Ibanez combines all that with an arched flamed maple top to give you smooth, hefty tone. Bound rosewood fretboard with 22 large frets, bound top, and bound f-holes provide lush looks accented by the sunburst pickguard that matches the body and mother-of-pearl/abalone block inlays. Flamed maple back and sides, set mahogany neck, and gold hardware.

  • Learned to Play on this Great Guitar

As reviewed by Fargo on 1/24/2008

I had no real guitar experience when I chose this Ibanez as my first instrument. But it sounded great in the store, either acoustic or plugged in, so I brought it home. I've been learning on this baby for about six months now and I haven't been disappointed! It sounds wonderful unplugged, especially with open chords, and with a good amp I can get it to play a wide variety of sounds (that was important to me, as I wanted to be able to try playing a little bit of everything.) It holds its tune. It also looks great: especially with the inlays, it looks like a far more expensive guitar than it is. I have two minor complaints. First, the trapeze is starting to show a little wear (not sure why). It's not noticeable unless you're up close. Second, the strap button behind the neck is in a strange place and the guitar never felt balanced while I was standing. I eventually bought an acoustic guitar quick-release strap and wear it like an acoustic -- which works for me. I'm just a beginner but after six months of practice (1-2 hours a day) I'm still really enjoying this instrument.

  • FANTASTIC GUITAR

As reviewed by UDEL DE GAZON on 9/30/2009

I bought this guitar as my #3 as a beginner. The AF95 makes me want to pick it up and practice, which I do. The "Fit" is great, the sound is super, the ease of changing the chords is unreal. The "look" has that super expensive look. Highly recommend to anyone.

i got one of these guitars last summer and couldnt be more happy. i was in a bluesy, jazz phase and found shortly after that this guitar is extremely versatile for all kinds of music. anything you want it can produce. only thing is that it feeds back from time to time. never played a big show, so im not too sure how it handles super loud. i love it though. wont regret this guitar, and will play forever
