Perfection

I have a slightly different version of the AF105, the AF105 SM-ABR in spalted maple, limited edition, but overall the same guitar. Right away I put on D'Addario flatwound 11s and paired with my Fender blues junior I can get great jazz tone out of this box. Mine will feedback a little at home volumes on a low G, but not on any other note. That is the nature of hollow bodies though. Easily resolved. The neck on these quitars is something you would expect to see on a much higher priced guitar. The inlays are gorgeous and the fretwork is perfect - every fret edge is expertly rounded off and the neck is beautifully bounded. You have to see it up close, so just buy this guitar and you will not be disappointed.

Pleasing the senses

I Walked in to Guitar Center with expectations on purchasing a Guitar in the range of $1600 -$2000,I saleman greeted me and asked me if i was looking for a Hollowbody electric and immediatly pulls down the Ibanez Af105 and to my surprise I was blown away, the sound was smooth and on point the body was nice and light perfect for someone like me accoustoned to classical guitar. the inlays are beautifull and the frets are well accessable, i would suggest changing the tuners but thats my preferance not realy a problem. The pickup is great right up on the fret board and sounds excellent!!!

Fantastic Product for a Fantastic Price

Coming from a classical/Blues background, this box really burns well....its a fantastic guitar which lead lines just flow through...The sound that the maple body produces is somewhat versatile with an amazing pallete of tones able to be produced pedal free.... THis guitar is good for all jazz, blues and even with a pedal a good rhythym rock guitar... ha, buy one.....You'll dig it!!

Beautiful

I went into guitar center the other day not looking for anything in particular, just looking to find a guitar worth saving up for. I played all kinds of les pauls, prs guitars, and a jackson which I had originaly thought I was going to be saving for ($1300) Then I played this and it blew them all away. I will definetley be purchasing one soon. Also I was playing it on a vox amp, and those things rock.

Just like it says - Hollow....

The pickguard on this guitar was probably the worst idea known to mankind, besides the atomic bomb. It's wood itself and is nailed to close to the cutaway of the guitar. the cutaway itselkf is too small and only gives access to about the fifteenth fret. The neck is a little chunky and is hard to slide up and down on. I had to lick my thumb just to play a few power cords. If you've got small hands, low income, and a really really short temper, this guitar probably isn't for you. I'd go with the Epiphone Dot.
