Set neck, double-cutaway double-humbucker.

The Ibanez Artist ARX140 is an affordable, set neck, mahogany body electric guitar with dual humbucker pickups. It features a double-cutaway design that allows easy access to the uppermost frets, and a Quick Change III tailpiece that enhances the mahogany body's already powerful sustain. The ARX140 has classy, straightforward looks that lets 'em know you mean business. For over 30 years, the classic Artist design has provided a real, high quality alternative to "the other famous mahogany double humbucker."

  • Nice guitar

As reviewed by Jormama on 2/18/2009

got this axe for my daughter, the white one, and now I want it for myself the build quality is A+ the thing is so smooth. The neck is a lot like my Les Paul but thinner and doesn't have the neck butt sticking out at the 14th fret the stock pick-ups are OK but could be a little meatier. It plays great! This is not a toy.

  • Sweet guitar!!!!!!!!!

I really like this guitar cuz you can play like any style with it from metal to classic. But i would change the pickups. But the ones it comes with are pretty good if you can't afford new ones

  • Great For The Price

As reviewed by 3Ibanezman on 5/14/2011

I've had this guitar for about a year. I got some fret work done to it and a good set up but you can't hold that against this guitar. I am mainly playing my acoustic right now so I haven't put it through very much wear and tear. It still looks and sounds fine. I like the stock pick ups. The feel and playability are as good as any guitar I have ever picked up. This guitar is so nice I don't really need another one at all. I don't think this particular model will be around much longer. It seems to be getting replaced by another in the Ibanez line. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to get it set up and fret work done. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with it. I recommend it to anyone who only has about $300 to spend.
