Easily affordable and playable.

The first single-cutaway Artist in 30 years, the Ibanez ART2100 Artist guitar is an affordable, old-school-style solidbody with top-of-the-bill features. The contoured mahogany body has a mahogany set neck for excellent resonance. The Artcore ACH1-S and ACH2-S humbuckers filter out interference from electrical sources while using ceramic magnets to pump out all the crunch and sustain you'll need to rock the house. The Gibraltar III tailpiece lets you easily adjust each string for solid intonation. The short 24-2/3" scale makes note bending a breeze on the bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets. The 12th fret has a special ART inlay for a modest touch of flair.

  • Incredible

As reviewed by Neil on 8/22/2008

This Guitar is insane. Sustain is awsome. Out of the box all that was needed was a minor bridge adj and I scaped the stock strings for a better set. Does not matter what type of Amp you plug into still sounds great. This Guitar plays like ones I have had costing hundreds of dollars more. Thinking of buying another one for a spare. Do not be afraid to buy this guitar its well worth the price and more.

  • Excellent Guitar At A Great Price

As reviewed by Anthony on 2/26/2010

I picked up this guitar 5 days ago and must say that I can't wait to get home from work each day to pick it up and play. I choose the transparent cherry finish and have to say that this guitar is one of the most beautiful insturments I own, the finish is flawless. The fit and finish on the construction is first rate. There are no sloppy joints or loose parts. Very nice. It is a very light guitar which leads to a small degree of neck dive, but nothing that makes it uncomfortable or ackward to play. The body is thinner than most other single cuts and the neck is thin and fast. Unplugged this guitar has a suprising acoustic tone but it really shines when you plug it in. The dual humbuckers have an incredible output as well as a wide tonal range. Both clean and distorted this guitar sounds great. Overall, for the price this guitar is not only suitable for beginning players but as a great instrument for seasoned players as well. Do yourself a favor and look into this guitar.

  • Can't beat this one..

As reviewed by Adrian on 10/29/2010

Just ordered my 3rd ART100. I know have the Cherry, Black (no longer being offered, so glad I got it while I could) and the Violin Sunburst. (on order) These guitars not only look incredible, they play and sound amazing - right out of the box. The bridge pick-up is very sensitive and when pushing it through some serious crunch and/or distortion, you hear all the nuances - great for rhythm & solos. The neck pick-up is somewhat muddy when playing chords (again, with a lot of crunch), but awesome for high note solos and clean strumming. Hardware, fit and finish is what you would expect from guitars costing a lot more. Neck and contoured body is extremely comfortable (better than any standard Gibson Les Paul) and it does not weigh as much, so perfect for gigs. I do recommend changing to strings to a 009 gauge for rock - once the strings are stretched and settled, the ART100 stays in tune nicely. My collection includes a Gibson Les Paul studio, USA Fender Strat HSS, and a custom Carvin. The ART100 definitely holds up it's own against these more expensive guitars. I highly recommend it for beginners and experienced players who need a great looking awesome sounding and light weight guitar.
