  I recently joined my church worship team and I needed an acoustic electric guitar but I only had $500 to spend. I spent many hours reserching online and spent time at the local music store playing the ones in my price range. When I found the Ibanez AEL30SE online and read about it, I knew I had to try it. The one I wanted was the Vintage Violin, but the only one they had at the nearest guitar center was the Dark Violin. Let me tell you, the picture of the dark violin finish does not do it justice. This thing is Beautiful in person. As soon as I sat down and played it, I wanted it. The neck just felt right in my hands, and the sound was great. Before I bought it I went and played some of the other guitars in my price range, but the Ibanez just fit me better. The Fishman pickup sounds great through my Crate amp, and the P.A. at my church. Before I bought this, I was borrowing an Ibanez Montage which had a heavy neck. The AEL30SE is much lighter and more comfortable to hold. It was made in China, but it was put together well. Overall for the price, this guitar is a very good choice. Solid top, Mahogony neck, back, and sides, Rosewood fret board, fishman pickup = nice guitar. But that is my opinion. One last thing for those who dont have a clue about the solid wood or fishman pickup like I didnt. Solid Engleman wood is used on alot of higher priced guitars, "I dont know if they just use a better quality of it though" I have not reserched it that deep. And Fishman pickups are a good brand name pickup, and not just a cheap one slapped on. I hope this helps.

• Back in the saddle again

  I haven't played my guitars in too many years to mention and I finally realized the reason for that was I needed something new. I played a lot of acoustics at my local Guitar Center but, this one was it! It sounded amazing. The action, the tones, the look...it was all there. Dark Violin Sunburst...stunning! I was prepared to spend a lot more but, was happy to see that it wasn't necessary. It feels right in your hands and almost plays itself. Effortless and smooth.This has got me feeling like I did when I first started playing over 30 years ago. The spark has returned thanks to this beauty!

  i recently went by a guitar center close to home and spotted this beautiful guitar and had to play it. the tone was very good, comparable to my breedlove, the action was superior and the neck very fast i was impressed after about an hour of trying several different riffs on this guitar i decided i would purshase it. the finish is excellent and plugged in it has a beautiful acoustic sound that belies its low price. i've got a gig coming up at a local small town tavern and plan to play it right away. if you are looking for a reasonable priced guitar this is the one.
