Everything I needed and more!

Though not very loud, this guitar sings with a sweet natural tone that is best when amplified. Whether plugged into an acoustic guitar amp, electric guitar amp, PA system, or recording channel it is easy to acheive many great sounds directly from the guitar. The 3-Band EQ, Shape contour, chromatic tuner, volume control, and phase switch combined with a Fishman pickup are probably worth the total price of this extremely playable guitar. The body and neck are both slimmer than most classical designs and are joined at the 14th fret with a cutaway that allows easy playing up to the 21st. None of the 21 frets are marked giving the neck a very smooth appearance while the rest of the guitar is adorned with color and gloss. Both neck and body are edged with white and black binding and are dark mahogany while the top is spruce with abalone around the sound hole and a stunning tangerine finish. Gold classical tuners and dual outputs, one 1/4 in. and one XLR, also help make this unique guitar stand out as a great value. Requires two AAA bateries.

Its Great!

This guitar is beautiful.. Not only is it a looker but it also sounds great. Its a shallow body so its not very loud but the sound it does produce is excellent. Plugged in this guitar really sings.. With all the feature you cant go wrong. The neck is smaller than a normal classical making it easier to play. It holds its own with the more expensive classicals. Its a good buy. I love it.

Excellent value

Recently purchased from local Guitar Center store. Played it and several more expensive classical guitars -- the Ibanez was as easy to play and sounds just as good as the other shallow classicals. It sounds ok (but not wonderful) when not plugged in, but plugged in even to a regular electrical guitar amp it sounds full and deep. The onboard equalizer and shape-shifer make a big difference. I especially like the narrower neck that "true" classicals which is easier for me to play. The tangerine top color is very interesting and different.

Ibanez is Great

I teach guitar at Eastside High School and these guitars are perfect for my students. The ability to switch from acoustic to electric is an incredible advantage. The guitar sounds great and the value is excellent.

AMAZING!!!

I too played every guitar in the room, BY FAR the best feeling and sounding guitar in the room. I honestly thought it was mispriced. The way it felt and sounded especially when plugged in, was incomparable even by the higher priced guitars. Built in Tuner, phase button, equalizer, XLR and 1/4 inch plug-ins. ***** stars

great guitar!

This is a very excellent guitar to own if your wanting to play a nylon string guitar. its smaller neck is ideal if your used to playing a steel sring and want to convert over. if you buy the traditional wide neck classical you will find you will have great difficulty adjusting your fingers to play a chord...believe me I tried while I was at the store...chords were difficult to play to me on a wide neck. If it wasnt for IBANEZ and this model I would have not purchased a nylon string, due to the wide necks!! I highley recomend this guitar, it sounds great, but the 5th and 5th string has a "twangy" sound that I dont like, but I found that if you adjust the bass settings on your amp you can eleminate most of it. it doesnt sound like a $900 classical but I like it none the less. its very easy to play, and you will not be dissapointed!so once again if you currently play a standard steel string it will be easy to cross over to nylon with this model due to the smaller neck design! 4.5 stars!!

Great guitar

I agree, i tried every guitar, and this is by far one of the best guitars there. But thing is im more a person who plays with a pick than my fingers, and this guitar doesnt have a pickgaurd, thats a problem for me. I try hard to not scratch the guitar, so far so good. Great guitar, especially when plugged into an amp. Buy it.

Beautiful

This Ibanez is one of the best guitars I've ever held. The sound is beautiful and rich with tone, and it looks beautiful too, which helps. Definately go for the Tangerine color, soo beautiful. I love the built in tuner, it helps lazy people like me. This guitar has helped spread my music knowledge into classical and jazz. This is a must buy for all classical players. Good job Ibanez!

Comfortable guitar

I've owned this guitar for 3 months. Sounded awesome right out of the box. Light weight design makes it easy to hold and the thin neck allows for easier fret movement. Unplugged the guitar is not very full sounding due to slim body style, but plugged in the preamp creates an amazing sound quality. Great for beginner or expert.

Pretty guitar!

I purchased this guitar back when they had the vintage sunburst finish. I fell in love with it when i got it. The only bad thing was is that the action was pretty bad, but it is easy to fix it it comes with the tool to fix it and you should get some better pickups but they do have a nice sound but later they go out. Overall its a wonderful guitar its great!
