Excellent value

I recently purchased the Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner. It has a very warm, yet punchy sound. The built-in tuner is very handy and accurate. This is my second Ibanez bass guitar and the quality shows. You can't get a better acoustic bass in this price range, this thing rocks!!

Great Bass after minor adjustment...

I just purchased this bass, and was a little disappointed in that it had massive fret buzz on the 2nd fret. I was thinking that I'd have to go back to the store (far away) and exchange and maybe go through this all again...but then I stopped panicking and realized it probably needed a truss rod adjustment. Whipped out the Allen wrench, and with a 1/2 of a revolution of the rod, BAM, problem solved. Great sounding acoustic bass, with the onboard tuner that makes everyone I show it to jealous! I also love the finish (it's easily the most beautiful guitar I own).

GREAT BUY

I mostly play electric bass ibanez sr505 & schecter stilletto. But every once in a while my friends and I play acoustic sets, and i didn't want to spend a fortune on an acoustic bass. I went down to guitar center in north olmstead, and checked out the acoustic basses. This Ibanez really impressed me with it's warm expressive sound plugged in or unpluggeed. The lows are warm & resonant, the high are sweet. I love the fishman sonicore pickup, the shape shifter, the preamp, the onboard tuner, & the cutaway access. It has a slim neck, fast action, no fret buzz, a great glossy black finish, spruce top, mahogany bak & sides. It blew me away, for the price ,so i bought it. I practice on it alot, it's so comfortable & playable, it sounds great.

Couldn't be better

I purchased mine about 6 months ago. It has a real nice punchy sound, the onboard tuner is accurate, but the buzz on the 2nd fret was just off the hook. So buy new strings for this guitar right after you buy it.

Ibanez Acoustic/Electric Bass

I had purchased this bass a during the summer of 2006 and it is incredible. The sound is terrific (if its not your style, you can change it easily) and the body is as well. There's no down points if you purchase this bass (except if you condiser acoustics heavy and the acoustic styled action strange).

Great acoustic

Yeah, there are a lot of acoustics out there that offer so much more, but they all come with a chubby price tag. This guitar offers a lot of sound for a moderate cost. I have had one hell of a lot of trouble with feedback from my amp with this guitar, so that has kept me from using it more often than my electric, but the sound that it delivers when I play it unplugged is full and rich. I messed around with quite a few acoustics before I selected this one, and I will admit that I only bought it because I got it at wholesale cost (someone damaged it a little in the humidor). Also, I get quite a bit of fret buzz no matter what I do with it. All in all, this thing is well worth the cost and especially good for those with a low budget or those who are just starting out. Good sound, good looks, good guitar... but not the best.

Perfect for the acoustic jam sets..

The bassist in my band owns one of these and I play around with it often. The Ibanez AEB10E is a surprisingly good acoustic bass, and more amazing, it's suprisingly cheap. This bass offers the legendary playability of Ibanez and you know it when you pick it up. It stays in tune very well and is loud! The cut-away is also great for getting up there on the frets.

If you're looking STOP RIGHT HERE!!

I've had this acoustic bass for about a year now, and i haven't been able to put it down. it's so perfectly balanced in my hands, standing or sitting, just a very comfortable bass to play. The tuner and EQ sliders can kinda be in the way depending on the way you play, but you can make this guitar sound FAT with them. I recommend this bass to anyone looking for a easy to use, gets the job done, acoustic bass. If you have one keep rockin', if you don't start saving this one is worth every penny in this bass players opinion. Cheers!

Wow

I just received my AEB 10E in the Dark Violin Sunburst and it is a work of art. Beautiful finish, action set just right from the factory. The real fun was sitting down and starting to play. Not real loud acoustically but the variety of sounds available when amped are amazing! The onboard tuner is easy to use but a little touchy to get the green light on. It bounces a lot between too sharp and too flat. I checked it with my dedicated tuner and it was spot on. I would recommend this bass to anyone looking for a quality acoustic bass at a reasonable price.
