The Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer overdrive effects pedal is one of the most popular pedals of all time.   • AMAZING TONE!!!!

    I was trying to find a good overdrive for that bluesy SRV type sound knowing that the TS9 or the TS808 was going to be good options, but I read about sooooo many other Tube Driver pedals out there. I didn't want to buy one and find another I liked better, I went to GC and did a A/B test between a TS808, TS9 30th Anniversary, and a Way Huge Green Rhino. I ended up with the TS9 30th Anniversary. This has the JRC4558D chip!! It has the creamy smoothness of the TS808 yet it has a little more grit. I'm playing through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a Tele and A Strat. I couldn't be happier!!

    I have forever avoided Ibanez Tube Screamers, preferring many of the "boutique" varients offered, or no OD at all. I received this as a gift and alls I can say is that I get it now. I have listened to a lot of sound clips, but most do this thing little justice. This pedal is a gem. While I am no reviewer, I will offer up a few impressions. It provides a compelling and natural sound/feel that is useable and playable in many ways. It is quiet, smooth, and provides subtle pushes up to that neat compressed squishy sound that makes playing a lead on a Strat so fun. It just plays and feels right. Get one. Features: Straight up, no frills. Drive, Tone, and Level. Everything works. Can use a 9V, or a external supply. Quality & Reliability: Looks clean, has a heavy duty feel, pot rotation is smooth and firm, and the case fit and finish are good quality. The finish does look to scratch easily however.... HAvent had it long enough to test reliability out. Hope it lasts forever. Look and Feel: I'm not even a fan of green, but this pedal does look very nice. The irridecent quality is just plain cool. The pedal is somewhat weighty, but it all feels good. Switch is nice, has good feel, and I have not noticed any switch pop. LED is VERY bright. Noise fator seems low.
