Stomp Out the one Star Review

By MARK CARBONEL

from Norfolk, Virginia

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig STOMP Guitar Interface:

The stomp was well crafted and priced. Work really well with app. I thought it sounded really well with the Fender Twin Reverb. It took a little bit of adjustment initially but once I found the right setting I was jamming. Just like any other equipment, it needs tuning. I also bought the IK Clip for iPads so I can clip on to a mic stand when I'm playing.

Solid iOS Hardware interface

By Kirk Hopkins

from Okeana Ohio

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig STOMP Guitar Interface:

This device cured my feedback problem when connecting my guitar to my iPhone running JamUp Pro and iShred LIVE apps. It uses the headphone jack which I've had mixed results with when using Griffin's Guitar Connect cable (which was fine for iShred but I usually gave me feedback with JamUp Pro). The level on the iRig Stomp is stronger than on the Griffin Guitar Connect. $60 is a little pricey but all the cables to use with the iRig Stomp are standard, which I like. $60 on hardware plus $30 on lots of software add-ons = one happy guitarist that didn't spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a crazy pedal board setup. I will probably continue to try other apps with it; so many possibilities. The sounds from JamUp Pro with the iRig Stomp have encouraged me to add a little more heavy metal to my sound. Branching out is fun.

Everything I Hoped For!

By JOSH ULCH

from Troy, Michigan

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig STOMP Guitar Interface:

When I first heard about an interface for the iPod/iPad I could play my guitar through, I was the first to buy those early units. At that time, I was disappointed because the units were flimsy, noisy, and just seemed to be really cheap. I've been waiting ever since for a gig worthy unit I could actually use that didn't require me to set my iPad on the floor. IK Multimedia has produced not only a unit that I can place on my pedal board that is durable, but sounds great too. Best of all, their iPod/iPad stands help protect my Apple gear from being stepped on or drinks spilled on them. I've begun to use this unit for band recordings and live band practice. I've since sold off my Line 6 Pocket Pod because this little pedal does what other iPod/iPad interface units failed to do. Be a rather useful tool. For a little as this cost, this unit is well worth the money. Great value, great tone, almost too good to be true.

Kronic Krap

Comments about IK Multimedia iRig STOMP Guitar Interface:

I got the original iRig when it first came out. Had nothing but problems with it, so I switched to an M-audio Transit and I was a happy camper. When I saw the ad for the new iRig 2 I checked it out and ended up ordering an iStomp. The junk didn't work right out the box! Input not recognized! Bypass works on the amp and demo files work on the headphones, so I'm sure the prob. is a chronic one with the iRig inputs, not cables or other software.
I have been a long time user of sampletank and other IK products, so it pains me that IK has degenerated into wanting so much money for pretty much nothing. For example, if you already own amplitude, sampletank, sonik synth, traks, etc and you purchase a new hardware interface you should be allowed to unlock the iOS versions of what you ALREADY OWN for free or nearly free! No, you gotta buy all new everything and it STILL doesn't work! one star because I USED to like IK, but that's history! Now I need to be sure to tell all my friends!
