I like the Humicase more than other cases because of how well it preserves my Jose Ramirez guitar. I live in an area that has cold/dry winters and sweltering summers, so I appreciate that this case actually keeps moisture levels regulated. The last thing I would ever want is for the guitar to sustain weather damage - the Humicase reduces that likelihood. Also, I love that my guitar is so well preserved that it still has a "new guitar smell." Overall, a great case that creates wonderful peace-of-mind.
Although guitar manufacturers use kiln-dried wood for their guitars, I was concerned that the upcoming winter and low humidity levels in the Northeast would take its toll on my new Cordoba GK Studio Flamenco Guitar. I bought this case to achieve the desired humidity level without having to insert a humidifier in the guitar sound hole. The Humicase comes ready to go with the humidity-producing pods and active solution. A replacement humikit can be purchased directly from Cordoba and includes a hygrometer that will allow you to measure the exact humidity level in your case. Although this is a great case, well built and sturdy, I gave it a four star becasuse the hinges had sharp edges on them and I had to use a file to smooth them down so I wouldn't accidentally cut myself.
