The dual-channel Hughes and Kettner Statesman Quad EL84 combo amp offers you more versatility than as been available in the past. It includes an Accutronics® spring reverb, a footswitchable effects loop, and Twang and Boost switches.
The 40W Statesman Quad EL84 pumps out a range of rock tones into a 12" Eminence® RockDriver Cream speaker. In spirit and in substance, this is the kind of voicing people have been jamming to since the early '60s.

Recently purchased this amp, to get the EL84 tube sound. Liked the features offered, 2-button pedal, twang button for the clean channel and boost button on the drive channel. With minor adjustment of the eq knobs was able to get a nice saturated tone for blues, and pristine clean setting using the twang setting on the clean channel (think California style clean). Using a Tom Anderson Cobra with H1's and H2's, and an Eastman Thinline T386 with Kent Armstrong humbuckers I am able to dial in smooth jazz, overdriven blues and nice crunch without needing to use outboard OD pedals. I would have rated this amp 5 stars but for the very week Accutronics reverb it comes with. The reverb is shallow and weak, and takes a setting above 7 or so to even become noticeable. However, on a positive note on the rear of the amp is an adjustment that does let you modify how much of the reverb signal is split between the clean and drive channel. I keep the amp's reverb setting at zero and use an external reverb pedal.
