Not a Learning DVD but an Entertaing one

When I recieved a copy of this DVD, I felt like I was going to learn some techniques as Neil breaks down this truley remarkable solo. Unfortunatly, I really didnt learn anything as Neil is simply going step by step to his solo. Overall, the DVD is quite entertaings as the second disc has some good extras. If you loved his solo "O Bateresta" then this dvd is for you. If you want to learn something, pick up "A Work in Progress" another Neil Peart DVD.

Anatomy Of A Drum Solo

I received this DVD as a gift, and I love it. Neil Peart is a very accomplished drummer, and no matter what style your music, you can get something out of this DVD. Although he tries to explain each element of his solo, it is kind of hard to follow because of the level of difficulty. The DVD has good extras, and the two thirty minute "explorations" are awe inspiring. Neil Peart is a great drummer, and any drummer (or musician) will enjoy this DVD.
