I recently got this amp at my local guitar shop. I definitely was impressed; with the price and the looks, what was not to like? I got it for when I want to go play at the beach or street perform. It's definitely good for that. It looks sweet and is very portable. However, as far as sound goes, it is mediocre at best. If you want to play with it at more than about 1/3 its maximum volume, you will start to hear that dreaded "growling" sound, even when the overdrive is off. The overdrive sounds weak and just makes the unwanted "growling" noise all the more prominent. The tone knob doesn't do much of anything. I won't comment on the range of sound--after all, it says on the box that it is built only for "vintage" sound. All I can tell you is that you should not buy this if you are looking to play a wide range of styles. However, for quiet jamming with friends or playing somewhere without an outlet, this thing is great. It looks retro (I prefer the "yellow" and "aqua" colors myself), you can take it anywhere, and you can't beat it for the price. Just think long and hard about what you want to use it for before buying it, because you will be sorely disappointed if you are looking for anything that you will want to use regularly.

Comments about Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp:

If you're expecting a Marshall stack you're gonna be disappointed but for playing while you watch tv or whatnot this little amp ain't bad. It's pretty much a toy but it's not a piece of junk.

Comments about Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp:

I was looking for a portable amp for my lapel mic, as I am a pastor and I lead Bible studies at itenerate locations. This mini amp is perfect for this purpose. It is also light weight for travel.

Comments about Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp:

This product has very poor sound quality. It is a cute gag, but for a hardened music professional, such as myself, I find no amusement in it. If you are in to hearing what sounds like a Moterhead cover band rehearsal from the next room over this AMP is for you. The gain is nice I guess. The in depth review I have left below gives a thorough analysis on the AMP, even taking a look at what makes it tick. In conclusion please do not spend your money on this AMP. You can get a much better used AMP for the same price.

Ok, here is the deal..many mixed reviews on this tiny little thing (plastic amp..ha)..I was not expecting great sound just wanted it to "work". So I installed the battery it came with and it started cutting out after a couple minutes..I put in a fresh battery and ta da ! it works fine..of course it does not sound like a vintage tube stack..Dahh ! although I have heard stories of certain Black Metal bands actually using things like this to record albums....I have it in my work office to goof around with...would be cool fer a little kid with a junior guitar also

So far I have only used this product for a house show but I got it to busk with. It sounds very good and is way louder than expected with is a very good thing. Definitely worth the money and optional pro coverage.

Comments about Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp:

What's great about the Honeytone amp is I can bring my guitar sound up to my singing sound and not
Overpower either sound source. My studio is in my garage. Therefore, I can crank-up my large amps and
Use a mic to project my voice. When I go in the house all I need is my Taylor guitar and honeytone amp to play anywhere inside. My wife doesn't like electric guitars, but loves the soft low tones from my honeytone!
              Very impressed with price also!

Comments about Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp:

I bought this to put on my desk to practice. It doesn't keep a solid sound, cuts in and out, and is cheap. Even when I turn it down it doesn't work, and the distortion makes it worse. My order was delayed and my shipping was refunded because their was an accident at a UPS factory, and when I opened the package, the box for the item was open.
