I recently got this amp at my local guitar shop. I definitely was impressed; with the price and the looks, what was not to like? I got it for when I want to go play at the beach or street perform. It's definitely good for that. It looks sweet and is very portable. However, as far as sound goes, it is mediocre at best. If you want to play with it at more than about 1/3 its maximum volume, you will start to hear that dreaded "growling" sound, even when the overdrive is off. The overdrive sounds weak and just makes the unwanted "growling" noise all the more prominent. The tone knob doesn't do much of anything. I won't comment on the range of sound--after all, it says on the box that it is built only for "vintage" sound. All I can tell you is that you should not buy this if you are looking to play a wide range of styles. However, for quiet jamming with friends or playing somewhere without an outlet, this thing is great. It looks retro (I prefer the "yellow" and "aqua" colors myself), you can take it anywhere, and you can't beat it for the price. Just think long and hard about what you want to use it for before buying it, because you will be sorely disappointed if you are looking for anything that you will want to use regularly.

I bought this mini amp from the store and I've got to say it is amazing for its price and size. The sound can fill a room but it needs the gain and volume to be both up at max. The only problem I have though is that the clean tone sounds distorted a bit, but for the price range it is outstanding.
Gets that John Lee Hooker sound and more ...Awesome little amp.
This amp is very good quality for it's money, it has very good sustain, and volume, it's also very convenient with no necessary cables. my only complaint is that it has quite a bit of feedback and this causes a limited audible distinction between chords. This however could possibly be partially due to my single coil pickups and they may sound better with humbucker pickups. over all I would recommend it, but only to a beginner or for some home practice.
I already have a really nice big tube amp but wanted something small with good tone without needing to crank up the volume too much. This little Danelectro really shines. It puts out good clean and overdriven sounds for it's size. The headphone jack is nice little bonus. I also got an AC adapter because I don't want to be changing the battery all the time.
This little gem is great for a new player. Not too loud when the notes go the wrong way! I have been messing around trying to learn surf songs and it is a good match for my Jaguar. You can get a lot of tone using varying the controls on the amp and the guitar. Great surf tone using earbuds, plus you can prctice late and not bother anyone. I bought it mainly for the looks as we have a small home and it can stay visible without taking up a lot of space. It does not come with an ac adapter, so make sure to order one when you order the amp. It would be nice if for a few bucks more they offered a "Deluxe" with the adapeter and ear buds.
This amp I just ordered Monday because it seemed convenient to jam wherever I went, and so far I am very impressed. It got here early and I plugged it in right out of the box. I have to say, this is so much more quality than I expected out of the puny little thing. You can play so many sound varieties through the controls on the amp and your guitar. It's range is anywhere from soft music, blues, and even doom metal. It sound's even better with good headphones! I loved it, I felt like I was recording a studio track in my ears. This is a great amp, with an amazing price for what you get. I don't regret it at all. I wish I could get this sound in my main amp, would really be nice to jam this with some drums.
its sounds good just dont use cheap battery and the handle is not real leather but who needs that
Not sure why all the great reviews for this thing. I suppose on a price basis it's OK but if you are expecting anything more than a very thin, characterless sound, you'll be disappointed. I found this amp to be usable ONLY in overdrive mode. It's clean sound is too low in volume and too thin to be worth much (other than if you're desperate to hear your electric without a real amp around). Buskers and similar users, forget this one. About the minimum cheap amp for battery sound I'd consider is the Fender Mustang Mini.
I ordered this for my niece to go with a Dean Avalanche 3/4 Guitar for Christmas. When it arrived I was first dismayed at how small it was. But then I plugged one of my guitars into it and was amazed. I clipped it to my belt and played/danced around the room. Amazing volume for such a little thing, good clean tones and impressive overdrive. Tons of Fun!! I had to force myself to unplug before I ran out the battery. My niece is going to love it. I might get one for myself.
Bought this because I live in a small apartment and wanted to play my ES339 at a lower sound level and still have decent sound quality. This amp gets plenty loud...I barely turn it up when I play. I did buy an AC adapter so I don't go through a bunch of batteries. All-in-all a great deal.
