Butch Baldassari's Appalachian Mandolin features music and guitar tablature for 14 traditional Appalachian songs and dances as played by Butch Baldassari. Accompanying the book is a CD with beautifully played performances of each tune by Butch and the late dulcimer master, David Schnaufer.
Level 1: Novice—No prior experience on your instrument is necessary. The instructor starts with the assumption that this is your very first lesson.
Disappointing purchase....Definitely would not have purchased if given the opportunity to examine beforehand. Not as represented to be suitable for beginning players.
But nowhere on the titles does it say it is for beginners. This purchase is worth it for the CD, which is amazing. Aside from that, it's tab for some amazing playing.
