I've been playing the harp since 1972 when i was stuck in detention at high school. It seemed like a good way to break the blue(no pun intended). My first harp was a plastic harp I had received as a stocking stuffer. Since those days I've preferred Horners Pro-harps and Lee Oscars but, I must say...these Piedmonts allow bending the notes like only the Oscars could...or so I thought...@ twenty dollars for seven harps & in it's handy nylon case...I think I'll buy two or three more sets... good form Thanks, G.C. I picked this up mostly for the case. I had not played a Hohner until I bought this set and if this is any indication, I don't want to. I own three Lee Oskers and needed a case, plus I needed the rest of the set. So I figured that I would replace these at worst with Lee Oskers as I could, and use the ones in this set as stand-ins. Boy, these are last resort harps here! These are give away harps. They are slightly smaller than a regular harp, and the plastic body makes them harder to play than a metal case. You have to force more air in and out than a metal harp, and playing them rubs the paint off telling you what key it is in. They sound wretched until they break in, but my Lee Oskers didn't need break in. When Im done, Ill sell these to the drunks who think they can play with me for $2 each. They are junk. I wouldn't even recommend them for beginners because they will frustrate you. Get a good set. The case is nice, but could use a handle.

No and there is no return on harmonicas!

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

I have other harmonicas for which I paid thirty dollars or more for each of them I also have a two hundred fifty dollar harmonica. I thought these harmonicas would be easy to bend the notes, however not so. You need a lot of wind to blow these harmonicas. I play a guitar and play the harmonica at the same time and these are not at all engineered for this purpose. You really need to use your hands to make these sound like anything.. Maybe ok for a beginner.

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

The package comes with many handy keys, Nice case, keys are fairly accurate. That is the good. The harps have many notes that are to weak to play. Many notes are hard to bend. The good is they are inexpensive and might get someone interested in learning to play a instrument. I would recommend not buying this set for someone who truly wants to learn harmonica. Harmonicas are one of the least expensive instruments please purchase a better grade for that reason

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

Played Hohners for over 50 years, some Lee Oscars , these are total junk. A beginner would give up playing harp trying to get these to bend, play right , not rub their lips raw.. nice case , too bad it doesn't fit the real deal.

            Great set to start with!

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

I play bass guitar and banjo. My dad plays banjo, guitar, and harmonica. I thought this would be a nice set for him for Christmas. After taking a good look at this set, and listening to him play them, I bought another set for myself. I'd been interested in playing harmonica, as I play a lot of bluegrass music. This set is a great set to start with. First, I like the case. It's well-made, and looks nice. All of the harmonicas are neatly and safely stored. Each harmonica has the note/tone clearly marked on it. Finally, they're Hohner's---what more do I need to say. They feel great in your hands, they sound great, and they're contoured for easy play. They're made to be played by an experienced player, like my dad, or, for someone like me, who is just getting started. These are a great value, the quality is excellent, and I'd recommend them to anyone. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Buy it for the case, not the harps

            By Jesse

            from Cleveland, OH

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

This was the same price as an empty harmonica case. So I bought it and got 7 free harps. But they're plastic, cheap harmonicas. Don't expect much from them but the case is a nice, simple zipper pouch that holds them snuggly. Other brands and styles of 10 hole harmonicas can be squeezed into the slots.

            Absolutely Horrible!

            By Charles

            from Tampa Fl

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

As mentioned in other reviews, they smell and taste bad. The surfaces that touch your mouth are not smooth. They leak air ? I almost passed out trying to play a song. All of them have at least one bad note. I can?t believe all the good reviews; they must have gotten something different. I will definitely stick to the special 20?s, 3 times the volume with ? the airflow. On a positive note, it is a nice case

Comments about Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case:

Hohner Piedmont Blues 7-Harmonica Pack with Case I purchased these Harmonica's based on the reviews I read. I was 100% disappointed. The case smells like old cigars and the Harmonica's taste the same. Not all the blow wholes work on any of the harmonica's except the Bb. Keep your money. I am a harmonica player. I purchased wanting to have a set to carry with one short trip and so on. I did not want have my good one for this purpose. These do not have good sound a lot of the wholes do not work and I can not us the case for others. Purchase 2014 Lee
