I bought this for my Daughter for Christmas. It's a great starter guitar. Really nice.
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter. Did a lot of research online and found wildly mixed reviews for this guitar. Some thought it wouldn't stay in tune, some thought it was made poorly. I totally disagree with both assertions. It was a little smaller than I expected, but perfect size for my daughter. I was a guitar teacher for 10 years (before becoming a professional musician for 15 more) and many younger students couldn't press down the steel strings or couldn't get their hand around the neck. My daughter loves this guitar and plays it all the time, with no complaints about the strings or the neck. It is a classical guitar so there is some minor tuning slippage from day to day, but my semi-pro Yamaha classical guitar is the same way. Nylon strings slip, that's the physical reality of that type of string. Maybe some people bought a lemon, but mine was great and I totally recommend it.
I ordered this guitar online before I went to bed last Tuesday evening When I next checked my email the next morning I noticed at 2am I had received an email that said my guitar had left their warehouse. I received it promptly yesterday, Thrusday, Oct 18th. Packing was very nicely. Still haven't seen the guitar as it is a Christmas birthday for my 4 year old grandson. But if the quality is as good as it says I'll bet my grandson will be very happy and my son will not be frustrated trying to tune the guitar as much. Now they will be able to play together with my other grandson who has an acoustic guitar!
Dude this is the sweetest guitar I own the pickups are so hot i could grill up some flap-jacks on those babies and the pinch harmonics just scream oh baby i would recommend this to only expert guitarists as the sound would blow the mind of anyone who didnt have enough experience and the neck is like margarine against my palm finally this sweet vanilla lavender swirl finish really shines on a dark summers eve you must buy this bad boy before they run out of stock
This guitar is nothing more than a child's toy. If that is what you expect you will not be disappointed, but what can you possibly expect for this price. If your child truly wants to learn how to play a guitar don't waste their time with this "instrument". A person learning the guitar will get very frustrated attempting to play music on a toy, no matter how much they practice, they will never get a true sounding note from a toy guitar. On the plus side, the short neck makes for low tension on the strings, something nice for little fingers. You find this true with any short/small guitar design. Felt compelled to write this review after reading the surprising 5-star reviews for this toy guitar.
This wasn't a bad guitar to give to my niece (age 9) for her first guitar. She is able to play for long periods without really hurting her fingers. What's really important is that she loves it and it sounds really good even though it wasn't really expensive. Downside, it is a little bit weird to tune it the first few times, but once the strings settle in, it played nice and tuned easily.
Nice little nylon stringed guitar...Great price....Very small, and perfect for my 4-year old daughter to strum on...She loves it. It needed to be tuned and retuned a couple of times a day, as it arrived completely un-tuned, with loose strings. The jury is still out on how well it will stay tuned, but it's getting better daily. A good bargain for a beginner, and easy on tiny fingers.
