  • A great little guitar that will surprise you

As reviewed by Steve Macon on 12/10/2010

I had purchased one of these years ago while living in northeast Texas. I put a little "woody"pickup on it and ran it thru a Fender Princeton Chorus amp. I would sing and play with that little guitar. It has very good tone for such an inexpensive guitar. Neck is good and very comfortable. If you are a poor guy or beginning guitarist or just simply want to have a nice little guitar to take with you to gigs or for informal get togethers, I recommend this guitar.

  • A great, budget guitar

As reviewed by Jack White on 1/10/2011

I wanted this guitar for my thirty fifth birthday and it is so much better than my old yamaha F335. For one, the guitar has a better feel than the Yamaha and when I have jam sessions, it just sounds better. This guitar is great for any style on the acoustic, weather its slide guitar or the blues. Its no Gibson, but it is the next best thing. Enjoy!!!

  • Good investment for me.. Will be for any beginner.

As reviewed by Brett Kraatz on 2/9/2012

My only other experiences on guitars are my sister's F335 and my uncle's $1,000+ Martin, and am definently a beginner. I bought this guitar a few months ago. I originally started learning on my sister's F335, but got tired of sharing with her, so as such a beginner wanted a very low cost guitar. I learned most of my chords and simple transitions on her's which worked out fine. Though, I noticed a HUGE difference in this one when I got it. Compared to her F335 several things stand out to me. The neck has such a better feel to me, the action seems so much better (everyone I know that plays is impressed with the low cost of this guitar), the sound is obviously different (woods used), it just feels more stout overall to me, which I like. Last night my sister and I were having a jam session and switched guitars for a portion and I noticed that I couldn't do several things on her F335 that I can do well on this guitar, and she felt that this was so much easier for her to play, after being frustrated with hers. I concluded though that if she could learn on hers, she could probably play on anything and not to get discouraged and stop playing, which she understood. tl;dr: (Only thing I have changed is the strings) Look: Looks good, I got the sunburst, which appears to no longer be available. Feel: Awesome to me compared to F335 Quality: Seems stout and well built, stays in tune for a long time Misc: Great beginner guitar to me, would recommend over the F335 that I learned on. I would purchase this again, and actually will be gifting one to my sister for her 16th birthday, given she sticks with guitar for 6 more months (very likely), and since she loved mine so much, but I refuse to give mine up since I love it too.
