My first accordion was a Hohner Hohnica 48 which I had to send back for warranty service because three notes were out of tune. This Bravo model was in perfect tuning and it sounds better then the Hohnica model. It also is a little lighter and the keyboard and buttons are easier to play. I also have a Bravo 72 which is great but has a lower sound quality then the 48 button Bravo. One problem I had with the Bravo 48 was getting the left hand strap adjusted to the perfect tension. This accordion has no tension adjustment wheel like the Hohnica model and uses Velcro to adjust the tension. This was difficult to do since you have to use your right hand to pull the strap tight toward the bottom of the accordion. I found a simple solution was to remove the four screws that hold the strap to the accordion and reverse the strap, top to bottom. Next install the four screws again to secure the strap to the accordion. Now you can tighten the strap with your right hand by pulling up on the strap rather then down. The strap could also use a little more padding to make it easier to move your left hand up and down to play the correct chord button. If I had to do it over again I would buy the Bravo 48 as my first accordion instead of the Hohnica 48 model. I have found I can play most songs with the 48 bass accordion although I miss having a B bass button and a low Bb and A key on some songs. You will have to just skip the notes or try to play them an octive higher. The B chord button can be played on the counter bass button. The Bravo 48 is a good quality instrument that should last a number of years and provide a good sound playing a lot of different song styles. Also, an acoustal accordion has a sound quality that you don't get with these new all electronic accordions.
