  • Hipshot Rules!

    If you have Gotoh style tuners on your bass, you will not be dissapointed replacing them with Hipshot Ultralites. That is what I am doing. I put them on a 5-string Peavey Grind Bass (HB6Y 3/8 Black), very nice. Now I'm looking to replace the tuners on my Fender MIM 5-string (HB6Y 3/8 Chrome). I put a Moses Graphite neck on an American Deluxe J and had Moses install HB6Y 3/8 Chrome on the neck -- fantastic. These are much lighter, smoother, and look really good installed. Great tuners. I put Hipshot A-Style bridges on my Jazz Basses too. Hipshot rules. They love me; I keep them in business.

  • Stays in tune forever!

    Replaced worn out tuning pegs on a Washburn Taurus. These are similar size and shape, so switching was easy. Now my bass stays in tune for weeks at a time - amazingl.

  • So far, so good.

    I put the HB6Y-3/8 (black finish) on my G&L SB-2. Not only do they look cool, but they hold tune flawlessly and turn smoothly. Initially, I was concerned when I received them that the quality wasn't there because they are so much lighter than the ones they replaced. Fear not, they work. A quick note on installation. In my case, the best results were achieved by not removing the original metal sleeves that sit in the tuning peg holes. Slap-a-da-bass-big-time.
