The Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke features the innovative Hercules Auto Grab System (AGS) yoke: the arms turn in and up with the weight of your guitar to hold it securely and simply open up when you lift it off. Plus the yoke is designed to fold down for easy packing. The legs and all contact points with the instrument feature Specially Formulated Foam (SFF) rubber to protect your guitar's finish. Also features the Hand Grip Height Adjuster, which makes adjustments a breeze with a locking pin to secure the stand in place. A folding backrest flips down to support your guitar and back up for storage and transport.
All Hercules stands are safe for most nitrocellulose lacquer finish guitars*.
*Hercules tests for many types of nitro finish, however some guitar manufacturers change their nitro mixture often. Guitars should never be stored on a stand...always in the case.

I've had this guitar stand for about four and a half years and I love it. It effectively holds the guitar in place and I never have to worry about it falling over. It's extremely secure and locks the guitar in place at the bottom of the headstock and so it'll never fall foward. The tri-base thing it has is very nice as well so the whole stand won't be falling over either. I love how far it can adjust. It can get really tall like it could hold a chello or really short like a ukelele (ok maybe not quite that short). My one complaint is that I noticed after using it for almost five years and resting my bass guitar on it for about a year, the black cushions at the top that the headstock rests on started to rub some of their color off onto my maple headstock. It wasn't alot and it was behind the insturment so no one really sees it when you're playing, but I was still disapointed. Other than that I'm immensely satasfied.

I purchased this stand in 9/6/09 and in a little over a month I have noticed cosmetic marring at the headstock contact points- I have a vintage Les Paul Custom and would not recommend this stand for any valuable guitar - to quote the hercules company "During the research and development process of the Hercules foam, many tests were done on instruments with various lacquers, including nitrocellulose lacquer. These included tests subjecting the instruments on the stand to heat, cold and normal temperatures for periods of up to six months. All of the tests conducted by the factory showed that the foam was non-reactive to the various finishes used. However, there are so many variations in lacquer composition that it makes it impossible to test all known combinations and it is possible that some finishes will react to the foam." Too bad because the design is very nice

Works great and easy to setup at a great price. currently use it on my 2013 Gibson SGJ and my 06 Gibson SG standard. highly recommend this stand for anyone with the need of a good sturdy guitar or bass stand...
This guitar stand is great. It is well balanced, so your guitar will not easily fall over. The arm grabs the guitar and keeps it secure. It is light weight and the folding yolk makes it easy to transport. I've already bought several.
Smallest footprint possible yet gives complete stability. I have 6 guitars and the only thing that is this stable that takes up less space is wall mounted! Won't use anything else.
This guitar stand is great. It is solid, well balanced and holds the guitar nicely. The folding yoke makes transportation and storage very easy. All parts are secure on the stand and will not fall off. I've seen my precious guitar knocked over on a cheap stand once to many times, but now I don't have to worry anymore.
Shortly after I bought two of these units, the plastic/rubber fittings became gooey and sticky, and wiping them did not good. Finally fixed them by using talc powder on them. Now they work great, but you shouldn't have to do this.
It is just a guitar stand, so what is the big deal?? I finally got one of these and I wont use anything else. Sure you can pick up a cheap stand for 1/4th the cost, but not like this one. This is very well made, a joy to hold and look at, and holds my prized instruments very securely. If you have a valuable guitar, this is where you want to put it when you are not holding it. Period.
I bought my first Hercules stand after having some cheaper traditional stands fail. They "rest" the guitar, sloppy like - not very secure, unless you want to mess w/ the rubber tie down, etc.. Those stands rested the bouts and I think that having the body of the guitar suspended by the strongest point / area of the head and rested against the body is the best way to store it.( a pillow case slid over it is enough to cover it up down to the pups...) But back to the stand. This is the best out there. Very stable. If this is knocked over, it is going to take some real accident or a buddy you should cut off @ the bar. Very stable, easy to load and unload, nice balance and it is very easily adjustable. I have had 3 of these @ 1 time in use and sold all but one. You will like this stand and so will your guitar.
I bought this stand for my husband and he absolutely loves this stand. The way it clamps is awesome and the guitar stand is very sturdy.
I bought my stand about a year and a half ago. I love it. It is sturdy and stable. I have used it on 7 different guitars ranging from Martin dread to an Epi Les Paul all fit nicely in the cradle. I like it so much I just bought a twin yoke model also very nice
I have played guitar for years, but for the last 10 years I have been gigging regularly - I play several instruments during my set and need to take my guitar on and off several times. With the stands I've had up untilI I got the hercules, the amp cable or guitar strap would get caught or twisted and I've often had the pain of unwrapping a strap or cable while the guitar stand falls over. I also had the experience of seeing my takamine 12-string fall on its face and break because the stand was unstable. I got the Hercules about 6 months ago and I will not buy another type of stand again - this is the perfect stand for me. It is stable, it grips your guitar as soon as you put it in and releases it quickly when you pick it up. It doesn't get tangled up as there is no support underneath it, the padded legs prevent any bumping of the guitar. It is the gentlest, smoothest guitar stand around. I have two now and recommend them very highly. I have used it with guitars from my Jumbo Taylor acoustic to my Fender strat, it works perfectly - the ultimate guitar stand - security and accessibility combined.
