Overview

The Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke features the innovative Hercules Auto Grab System (AGS) yoke: the arms turn in and up with the weight of your guitar to hold it securely and simply open up when you lift it off. Plus the yoke is designed to fold down for easy packing. The legs and all contact points with the instrument feature Specially Formulated Foam (SFF) rubber to protect your guitar's finish. Also features the Hand Grip Height Adjuster, which makes adjustments a breeze with a locking pin to secure the stand in place. A folding backrest flips down to support your guitar and back up for storage and transport.

All Hercules stands are safe for most nitrocellulose lacquer finish guitars*.

*Hercules tests for many types of nitro finish, however some guitar manufacturers change their nitro mixture often. Guitars should never be stored on a stand...always in the case.

I've had this guitar stand for about four and a half years and I love it. It effectively holds the guitar in place and I never have to worry about it falling over. It's extremely secure and locks the guitar in place at the bottom of the headstock and so it'll never fall foward. The tri-base thing it has is very nice as well so the whole stand won't be falling over either. I love how far it can adjust. It can get really tall like it could hold a chello or really short like a ukelele (ok maybe not quite that short). My one complaint is that I noticed after using it for almost five years and resting my bass guitar on it for about a year, the black cushions at the top that the headstock rests on started to rub some of their color off onto my maple headstock. It wasn't alot and it was behind the insturment so no one really sees it when you're playing, but I was still disapointed. Other than that I'm immensely satasfied.

This guitar stand is garbage. The top neck cradle is too wide for fender headstocks and they slip right through or rest on the tuning peg. The top cradle snapped off for no apparenty reason. Theis stand was gently handled and it broke in my home, not at a gig. I tried to contact KHS via their email and they were not helpful at all. I included pictures and all my contact info. The email response came 3 weeks later from them and asked me to send pictures and contact info! I tried to call the number they provided in their email but only got an automated response.

The stand is a piece of junk and KHS Music is useless. They make it virtually impossible to get any meaningful support.

My first, my last, well you get it.

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

This is the first guitar stand that I bought. I really enjoyed it completely. I like how it locks the guitar (or holding it) in place. It is easy to fold down if you are on the go. Highly recommended for someone who is shopping or looking for something new.

Bulletproof Unit

By T.J.

from Boise, Idaho

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

I can't tell you how many times I have knocked a guitar off a stand or, more agonizing, fighting with that blasted rubber neck strap of a stand. This unit is by far the best of the best, period. The design is solid, heavy, and indestructible, and the quick release locks are absolutely a dream if you are like me and keep several guitars at the ready. It stow quickly and sets up just as fast, and is more stable than any other stand I have used. The only thing I am not sure of is how long the head unit will last as the tabs that swing in to secure the neck are plastic; however, they are thick and made from what appears to be an impact-resistant polymer so I am not worried about its life. Yes, expensive. But this is where I feel the price is well worth the security of my Taylor accoustics.

My last stand

By Zippydog

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

Everything about this stand is perfect. The grip of the guitar, the stability of the stand, the flexibility of height and the convenience of breaking down and moving just one piece. Amazing. Here's a tip for you...once you know the height that's right for your guitar, mark it with a piece of colored electrical tape on the neck of the stand and you'll never have to guess again! I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat if something happened to mine.

Mars the finish

By Gordon

from Baldwin,ny

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

I purchased this stand in 9/6/09 and in a little over a month I have noticed cosmetic marring at the headstock contact points- I have a vintage Les Paul Custom and would not recommend this stand for any valuable guitar - to quote the hercules company "During the research and development process of the Hercules foam, many tests were done on instruments with various lacquers, including nitrocellulose lacquer. These included tests subjecting the instruments on the stand to heat, cold and normal temperatures for periods of up to six months. All of the tests conducted by the factory showed that the foam was non-reactive to the various finishes used. However, there are so many variations in lacquer composition that it makes it impossible to test all known combinations and it is possible that some finishes will react to the foam." Too bad because the design is very nice

Don't think twice, its all right.

By KelticBill

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

I have played guitar for years, but for the last 10 years I have been gigging regularly - I play several instruments during my set and need to take my guitar on and off several times. With the stands I've had up untilI I got the hercules, the amp cable or guitar strap would get caught or twisted and I've often had the pain of unwrapping a strap or cable while the guitar stand falls over. I also had the experience of seeing my takamine 12-string fall on its face and break because the stand was unstable. I got the Hercules about 6 months ago and I will not buy another type of stand again - this is the perfect stand for me. It is stable, it grips your guitar as soon as you put it in and releases it quickly when you pick it up. It doesn't get tangled up as there is no support underneath it, the padded legs prevent any bumping of the guitar. It is the gentlest, smoothest guitar stand around. I have two now and recommend them very highly. I have used it with guitars from my Jumbo Taylor acoustic to my Fender strat, it works perfectly - the ultimate guitar stand - security and accessibility combined.

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

Stand was pretty nice out of the box,and held my basses pretty well. Then they start to suck. 1) The yoke handle/lock gets gummy and your hand sticks to it, or you set it up at and outdoor gig and take 5 lbs of dirt or lawn home with you if you lay it on the ground when loading in or out 2) gummy tightening knob on the legs. 3) the lock handle snaps off on the yoke from the degrading plastic, and shoots 20 yards into the audience, the yoke collapses, and your $2000 Rick crashes onto the stage. Someone at Hercules needs to review their manufacturing process and vendors, and throw their plastics guy out the nearest window. DO NOT buy this stand until these amateurs figure out how to produce a long lasting, reliable product.

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

I have three of Hercules stands. I purchased all from Guitar Center in Houston, TX. They all do a good job of securely holding my guitars. However, after a few years of use in my climate controlled music room, all of the rubber height adjustment grips have have developed a sticky gooey film that I cannot remove. One has decomposed so badly that it is crumbling and falling apart. Not a problem if you can avoid touching the grips. If you do touch it, you'll have to use a solvent to get the sticky goo off your hands or risk getting it on your guitar and affecting your playing.

    Excellent guitar stand!

    By Ryan

    from Seattle

Comments about Hercules Stands Single Guitar Stand with Folding Yoke:

This puppy holds each of my guitars just fine. I even tested it with an old first act guitar someone gave me and the stand kept the guitar from falling over just fine. Short of deliberately kicking this thing across the room (and breaking your foot on your guitar) this stand will do it's job and prevent unwanted tips. I've never owned a guitar stand that is this well-built, and I appreciate the quality that's been put into this one. If you're in the market for a stand, this is the one to get.
