    These stands will not disappoint. Our quartet had used less expensive speaker stands in the past but over the time and lots of use began to fall apart. After reviewing the benefits of the SS700B we decided to spend the extra money and opt for the most sturdy and durable product listed. The stand is very rugged in construction yet lightweight for portability. The wide base provides a very sturdy foundation for the overall balance and stability for any size speaker up to 100 lbs. The handle/crank makes it very easy and convenient to hoist the main speaker cabinets to any desirable height. There is a price you pay for quaility but over the long term this product will cost you less by not having to continually purchase inferior constructed products at a bargain price. I highy recommend the Hercules SS700B E-Z Crank Speaker Stand.

  • Hercules Stand SS700B - kinda scary

    These stands look strong and they are. But they are also heavy. The little clips that act as a safety check dangle from the pole via a strap and I lost one of the on my very first outing. Something that worries me is, when I crank them DOWN, sometimes the crank just clicks and nothing happens. I have to pull down on the speaker to get them to come down. This makes me wonder if they will have problems. You can hear the springs inside the poles making lound noises too.
