NEW REVIEW - Wall hanger on steroids!
This is the hanger to buy, especially at the prince GC has them on for! I purchased other hangers at the same time and should have spent the extra few dollars for this one! No chance of your axe slipping out of the hanger, you don't have to "twist & turn" it to clear little buttons, everything releases as soon as you pick the guitar up!
This one is a winner, I also have the Hercules Stand as well, but use the wood wall mount hangers to keep the rest of the collection ready for easy access.

These are rock solid
I have two of these - each holding a Les Paul. Personally, these are the best guitar holders I have ever found. The locking fingers secure the gutiar in place when it is set in the saddle and it will also hold oddly shaped guitars. Overall, very good piece.

Great wall mount guitar holder
I purchased two of the Hercules Wood Wallmount Guitar Hangers recently and they are well worth the money I paid for them. I am using them for my electric guitars, a Fender Standard Strat and an Epiphone Black Beauty. The Strat has an odd shaped head but the hanger rotates and allows the guitar to hang straight (vertically). the Ephiphone is HEAVY but the hanger handles it with no problem. The hanger holds the guitar several inches from the wall so it is unlikely that the guitar will be scraped or scratched. It also has decent padding so I expect no problems with marking or scratching of the neck. And of course when the guitar is placed in the holder, the small arms rotate and ensure the guitar will not fall off.
If there is anything that could be improved with this unit, it would be to add better screws (or a better variety of screws) to secure it to the wall. The included screws (1 3/4" long) are simply not long enough to attach to a stud through drywall. They were apparently designed for dry wall with no stud behind it as they include a plastic anchor with threads for the screw. I personally would not use them as my Epiphone is too heavy and I wouldn't trust it holding up. What I did was fasten my holders to studs through drywall using 3" drywall screws. I will be shocked if that ever comes loose!!!
Overall I think you will be very happy with these great wall mount holders!

Even through an Earthquake...
I kid you not, the night before the July 29th California Earthquake, I hung three of my guitars. A Les Paul Studio and Billie Joe Armstrong LP... I came home to see that they were in perfect condition up on the wall, not even a scratch. They ended up swinging during the quake as any regular hanger may have broke during the swinging. Great purchase!

Great mount!
i bought one of these today to hang my strat, i love it already, the weight of the guitar on the rest pulls the holding hooks in front to prevent it from sliding off, pets and children can turn your guitar into a pendulum but its not coming off that mount. the craftsmen ship is pretty good too, the light stained wood base is small and barely visible when the guitar is on it, ad it allows a little twist for oddly shaped necks such as my strat. Also it sits far enough off the wall for an acoustic, i put mine on it to see how it looked and it still had a good inch or more clearance between the wall and the guitar. super job on an affordable wall mount!

Great for other than classical guitars.
I have several Hercules Floor Stands and really like the auto grab system they employ. So it is natural when looking for wall hangers that I would gravitate towards using their wall hangers. In other words, I like there basic system and that influences my rating. If you don't like their floor models, you are unlikely to like their wall models.
I think the wall models work great but you should be aware of two things:
1. The screws they provide are not really long enough if going into studs. You should replace them. They are long enough for the wall anchors supplied. I wanted to put some of the hangers into studs for the added security.
2. They don't work real well with classical guitars. My classical's neck is wider than a regular acoustic, electric, or bass guitar and it barely (and I do mean barely) will fit and then not easily. It goes in only because the rubber is a little compressible.

Safe way to hang your axe
This is the third one I have.You can't find a safer way to hang your axe.It looks great ,its built well and for the money it can't be beat.

Best Wall Hangers You Can Buy
I've got eight of these on the walls of my practice studio. I trust them to hold my heavy Jazz Bass and my mid 50s Gibson arch top.
So why only four stars? Well, I have one guitar that doesn't fit-- my classical guitar, as the hanger is too narrow for the wide neck to fit.

Absolutely Perfect
I bought this a few months ago to hang my Music Man Sihouette up and away from danger. this is perfect. the padded arms make sure there are no scratches and it wont fall off for anything. it is very strong and will hold virtualy any guitar. i am buying 2 more soon so i can keep my other guitars out of harms way but still accesible. a great buy
