  • No More close calls!

As reviewed by Dr Quinn on 3/12/2009

I just uprgraded to an Epiphone bass, and my strap kept slipping off, leaving me to catch my guitar with my left hand around the neck, wherever it happened to be. So i ordered some strap locks. These things are amazing, they don't losen, or come off unless you release it. Just clamp the slide, and off your strap comes. So convenient and easy to install. So no more catches on the way to the floor.!

  • Bad Luck With Product

As reviewed by bassman on 8/13/2010

I bought these Straplocks back in December. They have been trouble since then. They were huge to start out with. I had to take them off my strap just to keep my strap fitting in my case. Then, it gets worse. When I first got the Straplocks, I installed them, without overtightening, but to the point they were snug. Later that night, I noticed the screws holding it onto the bass came lose. So I tightened them, and they were fine. Then the part that screws together on the strap wouldnt hold. I am just using a normal width strap and the things wouldn't stay tight. Even as I was standing still on stage. I have had that part come apart in the middle of gigs and have the bass almost fall to the ground, and luckily caught. Since then, I have had the same problems, ALL THE TIME! I'm throwing these with all the other useless things for the guitars, and going with the Dunlap straplocks, like I should have in the first place.

  • Hennessey Strap Locks

I bought these for an Ibanez S5470, which is a thin guitar. I needed gun metal , and couldn't find it in the other brands. I don't like 'em! Big, Bulky (even when removed, the male pieces that stick of the guitar are humongous), Badly Designed (too easy to inadvertently hit release mechanism on inside of strap). Some of these things wouldn't really matter on a beefier guitar, but the whole push button release system is a little sketchy. I believe that the strap locks with the female piece that's shaped like a U, are far superior.
