  • Really necessary?

    I think its hard to actually hear and not see exactly how they do it in this case with drums. You can end up tuning your drum unbalanced-wise, and it won't be worth it in the end. I recommend a drum dial

    Worth the money! Use it much like a pitch pipe for guitar. Choose the drum you want to tune, then put your CD player on repeat until you can match the sound. Then move to next drum. I'm not a good drum tuner, this helped me keep my set evenly tuned and it seems to be helping me develop an ear for tuning.
