• Classic flange tone, modern fidelity

  I stepped on this pedal and could hear instantly how intact the sound of my guitar remained running through it. It's a very musical sound throughout the majority of possible settings, with the obvious swooshes, swirls, warbles available too. I've gone through a few different modulation pedals, flangers, vibes, choruses, and this one is the most pleasing to my ears. Even with an overdrive pedal running into it and some amp distortion going it still holds up with a great flanging sound that doesn't get too crazy.. it's still very useable. If you're like me, you will appreciate the internal volume (like a mix knob), clock, and feedback trim pots. I called Hartman Pedals and spoke to Theo Hartman for a couple minutes where he explained how each trimmer effects the parameters (thanks Theo!). I like my flanging to be more of a different flavor of chorus, shallow depth, medium slow rate, and mild coloring. The internal trims made is even easier to find "my sound" and I toyed with some more extreme settings. Many useful and musical tones to be had here!
