HyDrive transducers represent a revolutionary improvement in bass speaker technology and a major leap forward, fusing paper and aluminum in a roadworthy speaker design that is more robust and efficient than anything available.

With Hartke's HyDrive series, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut, yet still remain sweet.

One of the most important advances with the HyDrive speaker is its power-to-weight ratio. A HyDrive speaker weighs 40% less than traditional speakers and delivers 250 watts for the highest power-to-weight ratio of any bass speaker available. But the innovation runs even deeper. Because of its cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets, HyDrive speakers operate cooler and deliver more reliable power handling at peak performance.

A revolutionary speaker like HyDrive warrants a cabinet design that properly transfers it sound, which is why Hartke took almost as much time developing an appropriate cabinet as we did engineering the speakers themselves. The ported cabinet featured on the HX115 was specifically engineered to extend low frequencies and provide better bass projection, so you can be sure that the power and tone of your HyDrive speaker are dispersed with great precision and articulation.

Everything about the HX115 says roadworthy durability: power to spare, steel grills, inset side handles, and each cabinet comes with four removable steel casters for easier transport. The HX115 is a ported cabinet made from the highest quality plywood with extensive bracing and dado joinery, making it rigid yet lightweight.

Delivering 500 watts of robust, bone-crushing power, it also boasts the lightest 15-inch bass speaker ever made. Put an HX115 cabinet on the bottom with an HX410 on top for the classic two-cabinet rig that thunders so much bass it will literally make your hair stand on end. With the HX115, you get reliable, powerful, portable performance night after night.

Light, loud, and low

Comments about Hartke HyDrive Series 115 500W 1x15" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I recently bought a pair of these cabs to redo my stage rig. Eventually when i powered them with a head that could put the full 500wrms to each, they sounded amazing! They are really clear, i actually run them with the tweeter off. Set flat these speakers are very clear and full of mid range. I got it dialed in to where i can FEEL all the notes until i get to the G string. The speakers are very light, the construction is AMAZING, they really reinforce the speaker grill to try and keep it from rattling. The tolex is pealing on mine, but i assume its from the humidity in my area. Other then that, its a very great set up, light, loud, and low.

Watch Out For Durability and Quality! Tweeters a problem.

Comments about Hartke HyDrive Series 115 500W 1x15" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I have an LH1000 amplifier, a Hydrive 4X10 cabinet, and a Hydrive 1X15 cabinet. When I seek a sound that doesn't involve the tweeters, I'm very happy with the results. The sound is wonderful. However, when I wish to boost the high end by switching the tweeters on, the loud hiss is unacceptable even when I have the treble turned all the way down on my amp and bass. I don't get anything like that from the tweeter I have in the Roland DB700 I own. Moreover, it wasn't long before I noticed a heavy item rattling around in the 1X15 cabinet when transporting it between gigs. When I opened up the cabinet, I saw that the flange on the face of the tweeter that screws on to the horn was completely broken and the tweeter driver was dangling in the cabinet from one wire. I'm a weekend warrior, so the cabinet doesn't get heavy abuse. When I called Samson/Hartke for replacement parts, the representative was generally rude and unhelpful. After I described what was broken, the rep sent me a new horn. I was miffed I had to buy it, but it was only $13 with shipping. When I received the new horn, I was disappointed to see that it was silver when the original equipment was black. But furthermore, the flange that connects the tweeter driver to the horn did not come with the horn. I called Samson/Hartke back to explain the problem. I got no satisfaction whatsoever. They told me I'd have to either buy the full tweeter driver to get the flange or call back periodically until one could be scavenged from another driver. Also, they told me there were no black horns they could send me. In summary, anyone considering purchasing this cabinet should go in with eyes wide open. The quality may not be what you're after and Samson/Hartke may not give you decent service. If you do decide to buy a Hydrive cabinet, invest in a good amp cover. The skins on the Hydrive cabinets are not real heavy duty. They'll be knicked up in no time. I didn't see where Hartke offered covers. I had to order custom covers online.

Hatrke does it again

Comments about Hartke HyDrive Series 115 500W 1x15" Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I've been using Hartke products for a 15+ years. I was using the 3500 head with the 410 XL and 210 XL. I was happy with that set up but was ready to update. I was looking light cabinets and Amp head with power to fill a room like a bass amp should. I wanted how other brands sounded so I tried others. After spending months researching and "test driving" I decided to go back to Hartke and chose the Hartke Hydrive 115 series along with the LH1000. This is gives an incredible booming sound for a great price. Easy set up. I like the option to change frequency on the cabinet. It's much lighter than other cabinets I've tried and very durable. I highly recommend this cabinet along with other Hartke products. I also purchased the 410 hydrive to complete the setup
