They are not Mackie's, JBL's or QSC's for starters. But, they are awesome budget speakers that feel very solid. I have used them to mobile DJ about 5 times already and I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance. Please keep things in perspective when you buy these speakers and know what you're getting. I would recommend them for 1st timers, solo musicians, duos, trios, guitar and instrument performers, patios, small venues, speeches and seminars, smaller house parties and background music. I would NOT use them for rock concerts, night clubs, bigger wedding receptions and high end/high profile performances. I would use them for wedding ceremony background music and microphones and then use my JBL's in the wedding reception hall for dancing. I just finished DJ-ing my 2nd house party in 2 days. The first was a patio gig for about 30 people. The 2nd was an indoor party for the same number. I must say that I was really impressed with how much I could push them with never a clip light, not even one. And I was frequently checking (I always do), especially on those harder hitting bass drops. The sound quality was just fine. Not the crisp cleanliness of my JBL's, but also not sloppy, tinny, distorted or muffled. It was a very good, clean and balanced signal that everyone thought sounded great. I'm sure the low price is due to Chinese manufacturing and inferior internal parts compared to the Mackie. There's just now way MF and GC can sell them for that low of a price if the components are the same grade. As evidenced by the main volume knob on one speaker. It doesn't travel as smooth as the other one, so I see some inconsistency in production QC or grade of materials. Not an issue for me. All these factors probably indicate why it has a 2 year warranty compared to 5 or 7 years. I got mine on a SDOTD special so I will be just happy if I get lots of use out of them by then. 5 stars for very good sound for a bargain buck. If they fail before 2 years, I'll tell ya.

Not great, but reliable, and OK for the price level.

Seems reasonably well made and durable, but other, somewhat more expensive active speakers offer better performance and value.

Yes two channels but only one mic pre! Wrong corner to cut
Misleading. luckily I had a mixer but wanted an all in one pa to run 2 mics

Sounds good for the sale price. I wouldn't have paid full price for 1 input pa

Great stand-alone speaker for the single musician!

    Comments about Harbinger Vari V2112 600 W 12" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I currently use this speaker with a microphone and an acoustic guitar. The "three input mixer" is a little misleading - there is one XLR input on one channel that is a line input, and two inputs (one XLR and one 1/4" jack) on the other channel, and that channel is switchable to either a line input or a mic input. So the combined input can only be used for a guitar or a microphone, but not both - so that limits me to only a single microphone with a guitar. That problem (allowing multiple instruments and mics) can be solved by using a separate mixing board. Other than that, the sound on this is fantastic and this is a perfect speaker for personal gigs!

    Comments about Harbinger Vari V2112 600 W 12" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

Was sent a used speaker beat up labels missing no cords no paper work in the wrong box. The worst customer service I have ever heard was told to take it back to a store and order another one. I told it was mailed to me I do not have a store close send a pick up slip and send me a new one that I ordered and paid for. Tasha Sokolov in customer service to this day has not called or emailed back nor has a customer service manager called or emailed back very poor service.12/16/2016

    Comments about Harbinger Vari V2112 600 W 12" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

Needed new monitors so I thought I'd give these a shot. At a great sale price. I can't go to wrong. Used them at a gig a few nights ago and they sounded and performed flawless. So much so I bought a third on. Only problem there was I had to pay the higher sales price. The M/F salesperson wouldn't budge on the price and they were back ordered to boot. Still a good price though. We gig two to three times a month so only time will tell if they'll hold up. All in all I'm very happy with them. Let's hope the third one arrives in the same condition the first two did.

    Incredible Bang For The Buck!

    By Mike

    Comments about Vari V2112 600 W 12" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I love these speakers and have used them A LOT over the past 6-months! I have two V2112's and also have two of the Vari V2115's. These are amazing speakers for the price! In my opinion, you get a lot more than you're paying for.

I play a lot of iPod music and live guitar with singing at an outdoor outreach to the homeless in a very loud downtown setting. The volume and tone these speakers put out, by far exceeded my expectations. Overcoming the ambient noise is no problem whatsoever! I've also used them in a church that would seat 200-300 people leading worship with guitar, keyboard and 4 vocals.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of sound and the amount of power these speakers produce. Compared side by side to QSC k12's I'm sure you would probably notice a difference but there's also a big difference between the price tags.

Like most equipment though, you need to get what meets your needs. Not only do these Harbinger speakers meet my needs, I am extremely pleased with them and wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them and buy them again.

I've bought open box items before, but never anything this badly beat.. the speaker cabinet was scuffed on all sides. It was missing the mounting thumbscrew. The bottom of the unit had a small piece broken/ missing. The cabinet was filled with foam packing pellets which were extremely difficult to remove.
I am very disappointed int he appearance of this item. It looks like it's been in service for years.

          Comments about Harbinger Vari V2112 600 W 12" Two-Way Powered Loudspeaker:

I got these for rehearsal space and I get sucked into using my equipment to DJ parties for friends. There are a lot of cheap powered speakers flooding the market, but many people don't realize that Harbinger has been around for a long time. The knobs and EQ feel cheap and fragile- however they work and haven't broken.
Everyone rates at peak, so lots of complaining and speculating about the RMS rating in other reviews- some are pretty ridiculous. My expensive JBL sub was rated by peak power and disappoints big time, but these deliver as much power as anyone would reasonably expect for this size. Overall, these speakers deliver more than any other in the price range- I've heard them all, Behringer etc. When you get to speakers at about double the price you may start to see some that compare and outperform these, but not by a huge margin.
