Bought this at GC because we had a small party to play for New Years. THIS SYSTEM IS GREAT for small, indoor parties. Plenty of volume for bluegrass / accoustic music. My son borrowed it for practice with his rock band - it can't compete with two or three guitarists and a drum kit - but does just fine for parties. Plan on using two powered speakers to beef up the output, and use the two speakers that came with the system as monitors. Don't know how that is going to work yet. However, for the money - the system is CLEAN - easy to use, light weight, I am very happy with the purchase thus far. Used it in our show the other night and everyone around said it sounded great. Used the "record out" jacks to plug into a digital recorder and made very nice recordings for a CD. I recommend this product.

Just Right!

By Mike

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

Went to GC to look for a PA system to use at a party where we were playing Christmas Carols. They hooked me up. The PA system worked great! Clean sound no hum, little feedback good volume depending on what we hooked up. This unit is perfect for small gigs, practice and just plain having fun. Hooked up a CD Player, Two Acoustics and Two Mic's. Just to play sing and have fun and thats what it is fun.

Great sound

By Aaron

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

This pa system realy helped out my mobile dj rig. I started with just 2 15' powered speakers from harbinger. Those worked great, but i also neeeded a system that would be lighter, smaller, and powerful. So for small gigs i now use this pa system. This also helped out for my larger gigs. These pa's have an output on both speakers. Now i can add on too the package by adding my two 15' harbinger powered speakers for larger venues.

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

Bang for your buck!

By Todd Spodienok

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

This is a pretty nice set up for a starter system. We got it for my daughter to sing and it was a pretty loud for the price. We also have a Numark Mix Track Pro hooked up to it with the laptop and sounds good. the mix track has bass and treble controls so it sounds so much better. If you hook up a mixer to it it would help . This is great for small partys and is worth 199!

GET A LOUDER PA!

By andrew fuentes

from mira loma ca

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

When my band and i bought this pa we thought it would be great because we were running our mic through a guitar amp. we set it up and tried one song. we could hear the vocals but only a little. its an okay system but just doesn't cut it, not for practice or even the smallest gig.

Great little system

By Efrem Williams Sr

from Chicago,IL

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

Bought for my son, getting into the DJ scene. Easy to hook up, naturally you need to play with settings to get the desire sound. The biggest complaint I have heard is about the bass response, I chalk this up to a lack of product knowledge. 12's and up people if you are looking for deep bass. We will link up a sub or two and he will have a nice system until he can afford to buy better. For the beginning DJ doing mostly house and backyard parties, this is tough to beat.

Quality but Sounds okay.

By Tom

from Meno Falls WI

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

Well built system but even when you get to 3/5 of the sound level max, the sound coming through the microphone and 1/4 in input starts to get distorted. Also, when plugging mics into the 1/4 input it is barely audible and almost no sound comes out.

Great for the money

By keith

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

I run all JBL crown and QSC for my main units, so I am use to good products. This is a great system for the money, it is very light and does its job very well. Great system for the price. If you expect a high end sound system for this price, well you are just not a smart person and you just want to whine for no reason. Heck of a system for the price and small venues. I will purchase more of these systems for rental units and small venues.

Works well for Band Practice and powered monitor setup- Not just for bingo night

By superhans

from denver,CO

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

I use this for vocals-only during band practice. It is not very loud so I have one speaker by the Drummer and the other by the bassist and me. The guy at guitar center said this would be great only for Bingo night. Its not great but for 150$ it will work fine.

Decent

By Adam

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

It's a cheap PA system for a cheap price. It can put out a good amount of sound. It won't provide very audible bass, but if you need some starter PAs these are probably the best value you'll get for the money. I suggest getting some other subs to supplement this system if you plan to use these for parties as the bass is nearly nonexistent. 60's not a lot of watts but if you are low on cash, have no PAs, and can already handle bass (or plan to play music for old people(older music(rock, jazz, big band, etc. will sound fine without an extra subwoofer)), this is a decent, cheap, low-power amp and PA combo.

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

I purchased the Harbinger H60 for my daughters wedding for music and the ceremony . The music sound is good however no bass. I connected a subwoofer to the record out and the balance was perfect. This PA is perfect for the money. I would recommend this product. It is also worth buying some good speaker stands.

Are you kidding me?

By ROBERT VAN HEES

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

We are a 6 piece Country/southern rock/classic rock cover band with 4 singers. I laughed when our drummer first showed up with this thing only to be blown away with how good it sounds. It sounds great for vocals. We just bought a 800 watt Berringer powered mixer and giant 2x15 and a horn Kustom cabinets. The Harbinger sounds better! I'm not lying.

Surprising Mighty-Mite PA System

By William

from Austin, TX

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

I purchased the HA60 during a Spring sale at my local GC in Austin, TX, along with a pair of speaker stands. I have a background in pro sound, so I purchased this backseat-sized rig with realistic expectations. We have used this for numerous elementary school events, all outdoors. This is not a system that I expected much out of in an outdoor venue, yet it has surprised at every turn. Here are two examples: - Outdoor dance performances in the front parking lot of our elementary school. The system covered approximately 150 spectators and student dancers with music and voice. Levels were kept moderate. The speakers were on stands and we used third-party 1/4" speaker cables of a higher gauge and slightly longer length than the stock cables. Playback was via CD into the Aux inputs. Everyone reported the system was easily heard, clear, and music quality was pleasant. - Elementary "Field Day", covering a 5 acre playground area hosting multiple events for students. Music playback and voice. We really got to "stress-test" the rig with this gig. At the higher volumes you have to watch your low frequency settings, you can unsettle the cabinets with ease. However, if you keep levels just below noticeable distortion, and keep the LF energy neutral you can get a surprising amount of level out of this system. It defies the 60watt, 2-10" + piezo horns that comprise the system. *Note that for this gig we used a small Harbinger PA50 self-powered speaker for near fill, which was perfect for giving the overall coverage we needed* Keep your expectations reasonable and you should have no reason to not enjoy this compact, low priced system. It definitely punches about its price. Personally I like the 10" cabinets better than Harbinger's 12" version, they lack a 1/4 octave of response on the bottom but what is there is punchier and cleaner. The piezo horns can get a bit strident, just dial back a little bit of 3-4k (if you have a source with eq) and it cleans it up nicely. If you expect chest-hitting bass from a pair of 10" cabinets on stands then this is not the system for you. If you expect decent quality playback and solid vocal reproduction this little 4 channel system is all you may need for a long time. Note: a better microphone makes a big difference with this system, avoid the cheapest dynamic mics. A SM58 is the best upgrade to this system you can make for vocal reinforcement. Playback through the aux RCA inputs from portable sources is much cleaner than pushing through a channel, even though that input lacks any tone control (I use the eq in my iOS apps instead). We use the tape-out to daisy chain PA50 units for extra coverage or as monitors when needed. $70 each at GC, great supplement to this system. No problems, runs all day at full tilt in the sun without overheating. I understand some people have gotten bad units, but honestly the Harbinger labeled products seem to have fewer issues with this than sister products with the Kustom label. Hope this review helps anyone who is making a decision about this class of small PA system.

Just Purchased Mine

By Val

from Kennesaw, GA,

Comments about Harbinger HA60 PA System:

Let me start off with wha tyou pay is what you get. Don't get me wrong the speakers are alright just not wha ti expected from what the other reviews said. This cant be heard from other rooms. It is not that loud. I brought this for my djing gigs and i sure cant go infront of my clients with these speakers. These speakers are more less for practing at home. You dont ave to worry no police will be called becuase it is not that loud. I do recommend that you purchase more speakers with this because there is no bass at all. I assume you all know this is a basic system. I would hook this up to me entertainment system if it had more red and white outputs. It is real light so a old person can carry it around without getting tired. Overall, i would give this product a 7 based off of other equipments i have used around the same price range.
