12" loudspeaker featuring a 2.5" high-temperature, precision edge-wound polyamide voice coil and an 80 oz. vented magnet structure. High Frequencies come through loud and clear with a 1.75" titanium diaphragm compression driver (1" exit) coupled to a constant directivity horn with 40 degrees (H) x 90 degrees (V) coverage angles. The built-in crossover has a 12dB/octave network features high quality, low-loss components.
Best I found in this price range. Much cleaner than Peavey. Similar sound to the 15" monitors from Yamaha but at a fraction of the cost. Decent bass for 12". Recommended for any band on a bugdet.
After looking for a good floor monitor with a good price, I accidentally stumbled upon these Harbinger HX12's, and boy am I glad I did! They sound comparable to the JBL and Yamaha's, but at a fraction of the cost. These speakers are built to last with high quality materials and even feature Speakon inputs. Something that higher priced Yamaha's don't offer. If your looking for a great monitor on a low budget, a pair of these Harbingers will do the trick!
