Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

I have owned my 3300 for several years now, and it was money well spent. I have owned several Leslie speakers since the 1960's and this is the best for a pro/touring musician to have. I thought nothing would ever top the Proline 330, but this is really the unit! Despite it being a bit boxy to move around, although the casters easily assist in the overall transport, it delivers the sound that creates the signature organ sound so needed for yesterday's and today's hits. Money well invested!

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

I own a hammond XK3c, and have been playing through a P/A setup. This leslie 3300 is compact but powerful. My sound came alive after adding this to my setup with a powered sub to get some awesome bottom. Close your eyes and be amazed. expensive but well worth it. however don't transport laying down, the belt for the horn may come loose. So far so good.

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

Bottom line, fantastic sound, great portability. You take a big risk buying damaged goods however, if I had it to do over, I would have saved my money and bought either a new 3300, or a lightly used one.

          the Leslie beast

          By Robert Varricchio

          from Pgh., PA

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

My only complaint would be that the belt for the bottom rotor came off in transit, but that was an easy fix. I got this beast to the church and plugged in my Hammond CV directly from the tone generator, by-passing the internal pre-amp, and I still have more than enough sound to fill the building. I use about 60 percent of the Leslie tube pre-amp, and I honestly am experiencing one of the best and warmest Hammond sounds I've ever gotten. I love it!

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

Great sounding unit! Good tone control. It's still big and heavy, but not as bad as the old ones (122, etc). I takes 2 people to carry up stairs, but it's well worth it. I found the tone varies greatly depending on placement and room acoustics. I bought a used "as is" damaged one from Musician's Friend, and put a little into it and it works great. What a deal! I play a Hammond SK2 through it, and I love the sound.

So THAT's What my XK3 sounds like!

          By Ray Burke

          from St Joseph MI

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

I used and endorsed a Motion Sound 3d for several years, but never really heard my Hammond until I used the Leslie 3300, It roars, whirls and screams but purrs gently when her tubes are dialed back, lol. A perfect match to any B3, or quality clone. I light up the horns and lower rotor drum by remote control so the audience can SEE what they are hearing. No thin imitation here! THROW that glorious Hammond voice around the room and watch 'em gasp... "Look! That's one of those Leslie's they used to use!" Still do.. student of the blues, SweetRay

          Unbelievable!

          By Bryan Paul

          from Long Island, New York

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

I just purchased a used Leslie 3300 yesterday and I'm absolutely blown away!!! I have a Hammond XK3 that I was using with a Leslie 145 at my church. This leslie had to be miked up as its way underpowered an It sounded ok through the churches PA system. The 3300 is a different kettle of fish altogether. Firstly it's light and portable, easily got it into the church up a flight of stairs, then plugged it straight in to the XK3 and fired it up. I just couldn't believe how much power this bad boy had, and the clarity was amazing too. No matter how hard I pushed it, it sounded like 10 Leslie 122's!!! I called several other versed gospel organists and they really though I was playing a B3, the sound was so rich. I HIGHLY recommend this leslie for any genre of music, but in the gospel church it comes to its own. NO MORE MIKING NEEDED, this baby kicks!!!!!!! I'm never getting rid of this one as I have more than 30 years Hammond experience and I'm still in awe and wonder.

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:

Out of the box I connected my Hammond to it and I got a blinking red light. I took off the back and found the rotor motor just sitting in the cab. I had to connect the motor and grommets and connect the wiring harness and belt. The instructions said nothing about it shipping this way so I guess it was a screw up. Also the rotor is made of styrofoam. I was taken back a bit. For what they cost I didn't expect that. Sounds great we'll see if it holds up.

I've played organs for many years with Leslie speakers. Still own a 910 Leslie. I have a Roland VK77 & a Hammond XK3-c I use through this 3300. They both sound like a Hammond B-3. Very very satisfied with the sound & performance of the 3300.
