I am using it with a Vox AC15H1TVL (the limited mahogany cabinet) and so am therefore very concerned about the safety of the amp. This little stand works great and feels very solid, at least on a rug. I have yet to try it on a smooth surface like a hardwood floor or tiles, but the rubber feet on the bottom look like they will hold fine. The downward pressure of the amp actually makes the foot stick even more to the floor. I would recommend this for sure.

I just used the stand the other night at practice and have to admit...it does what it says it will do! However, I do have some nits to pick: 1. It makes me nervous. I'm using a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30. You're really trusting this thing to not slip and drop your amp right on it's back. Depending on the surface that the base makes contact with, I'd be very careful. The practice facility where we play, as you can imagine, has some pretty old and crusty carpet so the base seems to "stick" OK. But I would not use it on thicker carpet or other more slippery surfaces. 2. The part of the stand that actually touches the amp is pretty wide. On my specific amp, it's almost too wide covering the standby switch and, depending on whether you use a footswitch or effects loop, it may simply not work on your amp because it may be too wide. 3. I would not trust it to hold up a 2x12 cab by just leaning it back on the stand. Unless the stand has something to really "stick to" on the back of the cab, (like maybe lodge it under a screw or something), I'm taking a very good guess that the vibrations of the cab will just force it to slip and fall. (Just look at the picture of the product above holding an amp by simple friction. I wouldn't trust that!) All that being said, I'm going to continue to use it. I think I've kind of figured out a way to make it work. I do like that it's adjustable and love that I can finally tilt my amp! I just can't give it 5 stars. Worth the price for sure if you can make it work for you.

Comments about Hamilton UniStand Guitar Amp Stand:

I'm always having troubles at gigs on where to put my amp so the sound can travel up instead of straight so it is great and for the money is worth it very portable and minimum space is required I even put it in my pedal board

Great for gigs

Comments about Hamilton UniStand Guitar Amp Stand:

I always had trouble hearing my Deluxe reverb until i decided to lean it back onto the monitor. Then i could hear my amp better but it was blocking the monitor. Then i got this and problem solved! This allows you to tilt your amp towards your ear regardless of where you are or whats around you and you do not have to carry around a bulky amp stand. Great product.

Guitar comes at me, not the audience. Saw Springsteen use it. Hear much better out of combo Marshall. Buy it!

Comments about Hamilton UniStand Guitar Amp Stand:

I'm a drummer, and i use a Kustom PA50 for a vocal monitor. It is the perfect size and shape to fit even the smallest, crowded 'stages.'
The only problem is angling it properly. I built a small folding stand, that worked OK. But I found this Hamilton UniStand and tried it. I love it.
Depending upon the stage, if I set the monitor to my right, behind my floor tom, it needs to be fairly flat, as it is quite close. When there is enough room to place it up front, near my crash and Hi Hat stands, it needs to be a bit more vertical, as it is a bit farther away. Either way, the stand is adjustable enough to work. It is also very portable, and fits in the bag with my monitor and cables.
The support plate was about a half inch too wide to fit between the small cabinet's side walls, so I added a bit of rubber to fit in there, and now it is robust and stable.

Comments about Hamilton UniStand Guitar Amp Stand:

Just got this and set my amp on it. one touch and the amp fell on its back. I think the floor surface is the issue. On some floors it is sable but you sill only have one point of contact, which makes it inherently unstabe. i will be sending it back and looking for something else.

      Perfect

      By Dean Prange

      from Atlanta GA

Comments about Hamilton UniStand Guitar Amp Stand:

I had the typical amp stand and left it behind somewhere during teardown, someone else claiming it was one of theirs and I wasn't going to argue over a $20 amp stand. I ordered this as a replacement because I thought it might actually be easier to keep track of. I was right. It fits in the front pocket of my pedal board bag and is not taking up extra room in my hearse. It is a solid, adjustable and simple device that does exactly what it is supposed to do.
