  • Not very stable, durability is questionable

As reviewed by Keith Frechette on 2/6/2012

I bought a pair of these and returned them. Although the materials seem solid, I couldn't manage to keep the desk from tilting to one side. In my case, I like to put two stands side by side and layout music across both of them. However, because of how they both tilt, music wouldn't stretch across them and stay correctly oriented. There were absolutely no assembly instructions, so I had the concern that I guess incorrectly as to how certain pieces went together. (I'm fairly sure I got it right, but I hated having that doubt.) The three posts attach to the button via a single bolt (though it's not obvious exactly how they are connected), and they have the tendency to twist, adding to the potential instability of the stand. I also found the locking mechanism for the height and desk angle to be inconveniently located, given the size of the desk.

  • 20 pounds is too heavy

As reviewed by Peter L on 1/5/2012

The stand has plenty off room for two very large loose-leaf binders, but their combined weight of 20 pounds is too much. The stand tends to flex and lean making it questionable if it will fall. Perhaps just 10 pounds is the maximum it will carry.
