no justice for Jaco

Comments about Hal Leonard The Essential Jaco Pastorius Bass Guitar Tab Songbook:

i was so excited to get this book to learn "Birdland" "Blackbird" "Soul Intro" "Continuum" the rest of "Teen Town" but since i already know the RIGHT way to play "Amerika" "The Chicken" "Chromatic Fantasy" "Portrait of Tracy" and the beginning of "Teen Town" i looked at them anyway and for instance, "Teen Town" one of Jaco's greatest creations, is wrong in this book. if you listen to the song, and then play it from the book you'll hear a major difference rather than what it should be. And "Amerika" another one of Jaco's greatest pieces, is also wrong, there is hammering and tapping thats not in the book along with the ending its could either be a "major or minor" scale he's playing but i dont even know what it is in the book. i was almost afraid to look at anything else. But i looked at "Chromatic Fantasy" and i looked and it says that Jaco plays on fret 22 on the G string, and i don't have a 22nd fret on my fender precision, nor my jazz, and neither does Jaco, because even if you look at the bass he plays, it a standard 20 fret fender jazz. so i don't know how he could get a 22nd fret off a 20 fretted bass. Over all i don't think this book does Jaco any justice, and if he saw it he'd probably slap whoever insulted him this badly.
