Excellent Book!

Comments about Hal Leonard Reggae Bass Book/CD:

Very well written book. It covers the evolution of Reggae from "Mento", Early Ska, and "Rock Steady" (played in dance halls in Jamaica), into the wide variety of Reggae styles that exist today. This book also contains tons of (easy to learn) Reggae basslines that have become standards in Reggae music. If you want to learn how to play Reggae, I highly recommend this book. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Hal Leonard Reggae Bass Book/CD:

This book walks you thru the evolution of Reggae, which I highly appreciate. It progress's rather quickly to the more familiar forms of reggae which is nice. It is well written and easily explained which makes it a great teaching book for reggae. There is plenty of room to improvise and the solid teaching gives you a good understanding of bass line creation for reggae. You will simply get out of it what you put into it, like with most books, but this book lay's it out clean.
