Comments about Hal Leonard Beginner Acoustic Guitar (DVD):

I have never had any formal training. I learned to play when I was in college just by hanging out with some guys who played all the time. I started learning things that improved my technic immediately. This is a great course for any novice who wants to improve his skills!

Comments about Hal Leonard Beginner Acoustic Guitar (DVD):

This DVD is awesome!I learned 5 chords in one week. Being an adult and wanting to learn to play acoustic guitar this year I found this DVD extrememly helpful. You are able to play the DVD learn the chord and stop the DVD and practice. When I went to put the DVD back in the next week it was right where I left off, so that I could continue my learning!

    It's ok

    By R

Comments about Hal Leonard Beginner Acoustic Guitar (DVD):

I have had this DVD for about a month and I find it helpful, but the instructor moves VERY fast for a beginning guitar player. I have to stop the DVD about 100 times in order to get what he does in 5 minutes. In the first 20 minutes of this video, I was expected to tune a guitar by ear and know about 10 cords...it was a little overwhelming, but by pausing it often I could understand it well. The website that goes with it is very helpful!

    Good beginner material

    By Anonymous

Comments about Hal Leonard Beginner Acoustic Guitar (DVD):

Better than most, there seems to be more organized stuff here. They breeze through the basics in chunks that most players can easily absorb. Don't expect much theory or detailed musical constructs. The beginner songs are boring. You won't be playing them long, though. With some dedicated practice, that is.

    Great Instructional DVD

    By Wichita

    from Wood Dale, IL

Comments about Hal Leonard Beginner Acoustic Guitar (DVD):

If your looking to learn how to play the acoustic guitar, this is the DVD for you. Kevin McCreary is great in the DVD and House of Blues and Rockhouse give you total online support, free. You can download backing tracks, sheet music and get tips, etc., all for free by becoming a member. Very nice support functions for the beginner and re-learner. I had a question I e-mailed to Rockhouse on a Friday night, and received a response from them within an hour. Now that's service!! Want an instructional video/DVD for acoustic guitar, and don't want to guess as to which is good or not? Get this one, you won't be disappointed.
