  • A Great Tab Book

As reviewed by Jay on 1/12/2009

This tab book is great for beginners because it introduces you to various styles of guitar playing. Another pro is that since all of the songs are from Guitar Hero 3, people actually know the songs that you're playing. In my opinion, this is probably the most beneficial tab book out there.

  • Good, for a reason

As reviewed by Dr. Germ on 10/13/2008

This is nothing special, just tabs for the listed songs, however, there is one very cool thing you can do with this book to help you learn the songs; assuming you have GH3 Go to any practice mode (in GH3) for the song you want to learn - from there you can highlight any section (or contiguous section) and without choosing to go further to actually practice the part, your game will just loop that section over and over. So, with this looping, put up your GH3 Tab book and practice away. Cheers!

  • Pros and Cons

As reviewed by Joey on 1/3/2009

The book was very, very accurate. Unfortunately, the way the books say to play it is a little bit more difficult than I found on tab sites. But the book has more pros than cons. For example, the book has lyrics so you can follow the song and make some of your own adjustments. It also shows the the musical notes along with the tabs so my friend, who can play piano, can read the musical notes and play a lot of the songs on piano. The book also breaks up the songs into sectiions which helped amazingly when I learned to play Cliffs Of Dover. If you haven't ever had a tab book yet, this is a great one to start with. Also, if you have never had a tab book before the hammer-ons and pull-offs look a little different then what you're use to, but there is an easy to follow legend in the back to help you. Other than the fact that they didn't include all the songs in the book and that the songs are a little more difficult to play the book was perfect and definately a must have for anyone that wants to learn the guitar hero songs!
