Overview

The Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar is constructed of a solid cedar top with mahogany back and sides. It provides a very lively tone as the cedar top brings out the upper-mid range and has a tendency to be harmonically active. Cedar is a great material to help express the instrument’s overtones. This tight grain of cedar allows the top of the instrument to vibrate more, providing a more responsive tone. Cedar works very well for both flat pickers and finger style technique.

With the Elfdalia Grand Auditorium, the icing on the cake is the gold hardware, which will catch the attention of the player and the audience. The look of the instrument properly matches the instruments responsive tone.

Great Sounding guitar

By Jonathan Moore

Comments about Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

After researching this guitar and listening to sound samples on the Hagstrom website, I was determined to buy one -if the price was right. I have been looking for an inexpensive acoustic to use for recording and informal gatherings as well as for songwriting. I thought that a cedar top would be nice as well as the grand auditorium shape. The guitar exceeds expectations. It plays well right out of the box. The resinator fingerboard is extremely smooth and fast. the intonation is perfect and the tone and sustain suggests a much more expensive instrument. If you don't mind the "made in China" label then this beatiful guitar will be the best deal going. I own a Takamine, and a Martin 12 string as well as a classic Daion '80 - this guitar out plays and sounds them all.
