Fat sound and legendary style: the return of an icon.

When their production stopped in 1983, Hagstrom guitars became instant collectors items. For decades they maintained their market value so well that Hagstrom resumed production in 1996 to rave reviews. The Swede electric guitar is one of their most cherished models, reborn with a mahogany body, carved mahogany top, set mahogany neck, bound Resinator fretboard, and 2 Hagstrom Custom '58 humbuckers for the classic tone that made Hagstrom famous.

Hagstrom's patented H-Expander truss rod prevents twisting as well as warpage. 5-ply top binding, pearl block inlays, and chrome hardware provide sharp visuals. Case sold separately.

  • Hagstrom is awesome!!

As reviewed by Dan on 6/10/2011

This is such a great guitar I was compelled to write a review. I've been playing my new Hagstrom (white Swede) for over 6 months now and am impressed with not only it's sound, but the feel of the neck and it's ability to stay in tune. Because there is no tremolo on this model, I've been bending like crazy and have been accustomed on previous guitars to have to constantly retune- I almost never have to with the Swede. Just an awesome guitar and well worth the price.

  • Take a walk off the beaten path

As reviewed by Rock N' Roll dad on 7/31/2008

If you're anyhting like me in that you love the les paul but don't have the coin to spend on a bona fide Gibson and are afraind fo the stigma of an epiphone then you need to take a serious look at the Hagstrom swede. It features the single cut away body design that has helped define Rock n'Roll over the past 40 years. The set mahogany neck has a nice round profile that's thin enough for some serious shredding but still has enough chunkyness to let you know it's there. The mahogany top over a mohogany body mixed with the stock pick ups does give it an overly dark sound. I personally like the dark tone to it but if you're someone who like a brighter sound the 3 way tone toggle switch does add a little but if a change (it's much more pronounced with distortion) but if that's not enough it's nothing a simple pick up grade can't fix. Over all if you're looking for a good LP style guitar then this is one to consider. It plays fast, sounds beautiful, is affordable and it carries a name that's still cool to be seen on stage with.

As reviewed by David on 11/8/2010

This guitar are powerfull, have nice bass tone and great with distortion, i prefer the neck of hagstrom than Gibson, its thicker, and the resinator fretboard its more than nice. If you want technology and style go for a Hagstrom you will be not dissapoint!
