Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar Electric Guitar (423017)
Availability:

A super fast playing Swede model with a long scale, coil-tapped humbuckers, and the Tremar vibrato bridge.

The Hagstrom Tremar Super Swede Electric Guitar features a single-cutaway mahogany body that is topped with a flamed maple cap, 2-1/2" scale set mahogany neck, and 22-fret Resonator composite fingerboard dressed in pearl block inlays. The Tremar Super Swede is loaded with Hagstrom's Custom 58 Alnico V humbucking pickups that are matched and optimized for a fat, warm vintage tone. A mini-toggle switch lets you also get great single-coil tones for maximum musical expressiveness. The Hagstrom Tremar Vibrato with Tremar roller bridge was designed to ensure perfect tuning and intonation even under heavy use. With custom hardware to match, the Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar is singular in its style and grace.

Revolutionary Neck Design
The Super Swede Tremar and all other Hagstrom electric guitars include the patented H-Expander Truss Rod. Providing tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world's fastest playing guitar. The fretboard is made from Hagstrom's own Resinator wood, a composite wood that is homogeneous in nature and is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots, and it has an articulate sound like high quality ebony, but without the problems associated with ebony.

Custom Hardware
With unique aesthetics and ensuring accurate tuning, Hagstrom's exclusive 18:1 gear ratio machine heads are featured on all electric guitar models. The Hagstom Super Swede Tremar guitar features the self-lubricating Graphite Composite Nut that further ensures increased sustain and vibration through improved transfer of energy to the neck.

Select Materials
Hagstrom uses only the finest select tone woods and figured wood stocks to enhance the sound and beauty of each instrument. Carefully selected hard tropical mahogany tone woods are used on the body to produce a powerful and warm sound, and North American hard rock maple provides a bright articulate tone.

Jaw-Dropping Finish
Hagstrom guitars feature a high-grade polyester finish, which is much harder, smoother and denser while also producing much better sonic performance than polyurethane finishes used by other guitar companies.

Since 1958, Hagstrom has been combining acclaimed design with premium materials, unique hardware, and innovative manufacturing techniques to create these magnificent guitars and are known among guitarists for their playability, beauty, and durability.

This baby goes from silky smooth to screeching raw power with no problem. I sat in with a crew and one of the guys had the Hagstrom Tremar Super Swede in his arsenal. Having never played a Hagstrom before, I asked if I could try it out. During a break I took this into a side room and plugged it into my Vox DA5 battery powered amp. This guitar transitions from jazz to blues to rock without ever feeling forced or out of place. It can sound as clean as you want it or as raunchy as your overdrive can go. I must admit that I was so enamored with the quality that I almost forgot about the jam session. The output of the Custom 58 pickups is truly impressive for an instrument in this price range and the overall appearance makes this a class act. If the other guy hadn't come back to retrieve his guitar, I would've been playing the Hagstrom until the lights went out. I give this one an A+ for versatility, sound, construction quality and price.

  • Great value

The Hagstrom Swedes are great. The neck is super thin, fast and sturdy as a rock. I love these guitars. For a mid-priced guitar they play better than most Les Pauls (and are much lighter weight). My only complaint are the tone pots. They are more like an on/off switch, so I've had them swaped out.

A friend of mine had just purchased one of these new about 2 months ago and every time I would go over i found myself liking it more and more. Its not to expensive and the construction is superb. Vibrato is great for when you need it and the pickups aren't bad either, If you have time check one out
