Overview

Based on the original Wah Rocker circuit used by countless pros, the WR3 features several updates that greatly improve its functionality and performance. The WR3's filter sensitivity has been increased, allowing for better note tracking and dynamic response. This upgrade also offers improved performance for instruments with passive and/or lower output pickups. In addition, the WR3 has been equipped with a switchable Dry Blend function that mixes in clean signal against the effect in order to smooth out volume peaks and dips caused by the filter sweep. This new feature improves low-end response, allowing the WR3 to be used equally well with Bass or Guitar. A new twist on an old favorite, the WR3 offers even more funk than before!

Beware!

By sixstringsikness

The bassist in my band gave me this pedal for my birthday last year. Since I don't actually have a wah pedal, I thought this could be a good stand-in for minimal use, so I was more than a little excited. The day after I got it, I plugged in and began to play. Regardless of any change of settings, the pedal's tone was so low that it was unusable. And the automatic "sweep" is almost nonexistent. Perhaps on bass or a detuned or 7-string guitar, it may be usable, but I can't foresee the tone improving any. Battery replacement is also a pain in the neck. There is a rubber ring surrounding the bottom of the pedal that acts as both feet for the pedal and also to hold the bottom plate to the rest of the pedal. The ring must be removed to change the battery, then fit back on. Even if the one I have is a lemon and you can actually use the pedal (good luck!), I can easily see the cheap rubber ring drying out and eventually cracking and breaking. My overall recommendation is to just go out and buy a cheap wah pedal such as your basic CryBaby rather than waste any money or time on the Wah Rocker.
